Hi i had my mk3 cupra remapped just before christmas and just got round to logging it through vag-com. Something doesnt seem right to me

Here's a few logs:

Actual boost doesnt seem to be following requested boost as you would expect. And there seems to be something drastically wrong with engine loads.

Also the Maf readings are a fair bit lower than i would expect for a remapped car?

Just like to add intake temps were no higher 38 degrees on the standard smic, also i swapped the Maf with known healthy Maf and still got a peak reading of 144g/s.

Would be very greatful if Will or anybody could comment on the logs and suggest any solutions. :headhurt:

Actual Boost is falling way short of requested. MAF looks to be poorly. Something well skewed with the load figures.......

And suggests as to why though? Would a boost leak cause this?

Im sure when i monitored my load i was getting 130% plus on revo stage 2, logged my MAF also and was only getting 146g/s a few days ago, fitted a new MAF yesterday and it seems alot smoother so maybe try a brand new one, how are you sure that the other MAF is healthy ? done logs with that one ?

No fault codes?

is load for each cylinder, just seen the 89.% in the 4th column, is that for cylinder 4 then ?

erm no.

114 columns are

Specified Load
Adjusted Specified Load
Actual Load
Duty Cycle.

If the car isn't making the load specified, the ECU applies adjustments to try to achieve specified (hence column 2) Column 4 = N75 duty cycle.

Sounds exactly like mine was. Had to have mine put back to standard as there was/is no cure with this map as of yet

Has no fault codes coming up, the car still seems ok to drive. Looking at the logs i'm thinking it should hold the boost longer???

The requested boost level seems a bit high at the top end of the rev range.......... would i be right in thinking the k03 turbo can't produce this boost at that rpm, as a result the car pulls back as a safeguard??

Alot of things could be causing this.....best to contact me before posting really, difficult to diagnose on here.....

Maf should be reading way above that.

Drop me an e-mail if you like :)
