View Full Version : oil for the abf engine
usually keep a few ltrs at home to top up as and when, whats it use?10/40 is my guess,am i right?
Pretty sure I've got 10/30 in mine. The book is quite lenient really, and I'd say 10/40 would be fine. As long as it's semi-synthetic.
I wouldn't bother with fully synthetic. I know a couple of rally drivers (one with a 2.5l 400BHP 6R4) who uses semi and it runs fine.
I use Mobil 1 0W40 - no noisier or harsher than 10/40.

Same with me.
However if you can EVER get some Mobil SHC USE IT !!!!!
It's a 0Winfinity oil.
They made it BEFORE Mobil 1 out of coal in Germany and it's the dogs bol**cks !!!
According to my dealer use anything that's SG or above and it should be synthetic (petrol engines).
:)
