I got Revo'd a couple of weeks ago along with the SPS2.
Revo told me that the 98 Ron setting is low boost and a timing of 6,
I've seen other threads mention a timing of 7 for running Optimax which I assume is set using SPS3, would a 7 setting improve performance ?
Whilst I am totally impressed with the Revo program I am considering paying the extra £50 and changing my SPS2 for SPS3 but need convincing if its worth it.
Can you have a boost setting on SPS3 that out performs the 98Ron setting on SPS2 but is still within engine tolerances ?

Changing the timing from 6 to 7 deosn't make much difference at all, at least none that you'd notice anyway....
The key thing in SPS3 is that it allows you to take the boost setting to a whole new level, it has low boost settings of 1-9 and high boost of 1-9 as well. Changing from low boost 9 to high boost 9 makes a noticable difference. As for tolerances/reliablibity etc, i'm not to sure, obviously it puts a higher strain on the car. I've been running high boost 8 since i got revo'd 2 months ago, no probs at all (reaches for something wooden) except reduced fuel economy but then thats only cos i plant my foot at every opportunity ;)

I'd say its more than worth the extra, fiddling with the settings is the best part about being revo'd IMO.
My theory was, i've shelled out a sh*t load already, what's an extra 50??

Ignition timing is 4=95 ron, 5=Aggressive 95 ron, 6=optimax, 7=aggressive optimax. With 7 u should see more more but there again more fueling! I have mine on 7 as rich set this up and its what he had on his demo so good enough for him, good enough for me :)
