you really should back that up by describing your experience rather than just slating them.

Maybe so for you, but to be honest with you, the only bad experience i have had with a insurance company is not to be honest with them in the first place, by not declaring all mod's and i think, this is where the downfall is, so after my bad experience, i declare everything, how many drivers, out there, drive round in cars, what that have declared to the insurance company as a standard car, the same it was when it came off the production line, so when something does happen, they think the insurance company are been funny, when insurance company says all mod's where not declared, but deep down they know the insurance company are right, as they try to blag the situation, just like i did, but to be honest with you and a learning curve for me and all, anything you do to a car that is non standard as it was when it came off the production line, even go faster stripes is a mod.
As for cancelling a policy and thinking you have been ripped off, read the small print, it tells you what wili happen if you cancel a policy and what it will cost you and how much you will get back.

Sometimes adrian flux customer service is a bit rubbish, but they have always come up with the best quote for me anyway. I find it depends who you speak to.

well i had a quote great!
3 weeks later after i sent all my documents in they told me oh they cudnt insure me as i havnt had my licence 2 years
(OK but i told them when i passed my test over the fone)
and they would insure me for an extra £92 so not happy i thought o well il pay it, askes them to send me a bill 3 weeks later still no bill,
Debt collector at my door so now really annoyed fones them and payes over the fone. all good finaly sorted!!!
nearly 8months later gets a letter from them, oh that card payment you made us didnot go thru properly, u now owe us £92 for the 1st card payment and another £92 because its still outstanding after seeking legal advice i have no leg to stand on aparntly they can charge me the £92 extra because i didnt pay them the 1st time (this is a long story to skip short turns out i have to pay)
so fones up told them i cant afford to pay all at once so il set up some instalments
after the 1st 10mins of her refusing to set me up a payment plan i managed to get one set up
great everything finaly sorted.....
nope!
the date of my 1st payment was the 28th feb and behold they didnt take the money!!!!
fones em up, oh well we have no record of u calling us! a good job u called we wer about to send debt collectors.........

It doesn't really suprise me too be honest, I had payment problems aswell but not to the point of debt collectors soming round.
Make a note of the above comments, but to be honest with you always make sure they tell me payment has gone through and then check with my banking it has gone through a couple of days later, always check banking statements aswell, but i can understand why you dislike them after the mess around, but a good learning curve for all, make sure payments have gone through and recall dates.

I don't know how you people not notice a company has taken a payment from your bank for so long?. Does no-one check statements or online accounts?

Update: just got a quote of £426 FC from More Than.
Never had a problem with Adrian Flux, been with them for a few years, great service and seen me right through a couple of accidents too.
I always shop around and they have always matched or beaten any better quotes.
For an alternative to the usual insurers try Marks & Spencer Insurance, they've just beaten my latest AF quote so I'll be giving AF a ring tomorrow...

Thanks for tip, although just got M&S online quote for my LCR - £840 FC (via Norwich Union).
And M&S's website is very, very slooowwww.
M&S's £840 quote does rather make More Th>n's £426 seem all the more tempting. :)

Fair do's, I'd go with them as well if my motor was stock, I take it your LCR isn't modified if your going with More Th>n?
Mines a modded Leon T Sport (alloys & shocks/springs), my quote on M&S took about 8 mins, you kids are always in such a hurry! Their price includes 100k legal, RAC Europe etc.
