Just curious if the boys from Revo or anyone else could let me know what would get more power from my Leon R since being Revo'd as I seem to be a complete maniac.

What sort of mods would add decent amounts of power ? New Turbo (IHI) ? New Exhaust ?

Thanks

I read somewhere that the Cupra R zorst is supposedly good for 400hp, think it was a quote from Mike Trulluck. Sports cat might get you some more top end. Apparently the standard airbox is good as it is and you wont gain that much more from a performance filter either. The turbo is the onl real restriction on the system. Various things have been posted about the standard restricted turbo inlet but Bill's still using his with the IHI turbo and isn't running into airflow problems so I think anything regarding upgrading that part is also pointless.

Time to see Jabbasport me thinks :D Go on, you know you want to...

I don't want to lose the Revo aspect of the car but if there was any way to squeeze some more ponies out then that would be good. I think I might rest when I eventually get to about 300 Bhp and 300 lb/ft +++++++ Can Jabba do anything to the car with Revo in it ? I noticed this on their website is it compatible with Revo:

Turbo kit - Jabbasport designed exhaust manifold & IHI turbo, the ultimate upgrade for 1.8 turbo engine. Up to 360BHP (engine code dependent) with factory reliability, drivability & economy. Prices from £1,700

360 Bhp - "Factory drivability & economy" LOL - Who are they kidding. Sounds good anyway

~REVO software is currently written for OE parts in OE configuration. IT would not be compatible with a Jabbasport IHI conversion without reprogramming.

I would say "from my actual experience" of the IHI, is that it is totally better than factory for drivability, and driven within the limits of public roads (eg speed limits) still retains economy.... This is true not BS...

Nail it tho.... and (a) you will run out of road rapidly, or (b) close in on other traffic v.rapidly or (c) dissapear off into the nearest hedge (joke :p) and you will see economy drop to 4mpg!

Drive normally, my normal (still not exactly slow) and I get low to mid 30's mpg. Use the boost to its full potential and it drinks the fuel.

You should drive Jabbasports demo cars.... it would be enlightening for you no doubt. Don't just read the headline power figures, there is a whole lot more to this conversion upgrade than just peak power. Its super smooth power delivery is amazing.

Too right, i've been in Jabba's 350bhp Ibiza(!) with the IHI on *low boost* and it's goddamn scarey - and yet, soooo good. Silky smooth in fact. It's the route i'm going as soon as i can without a divorce being involved
