:wave: Ok so here goes, I will have an SPS3 by Saturday lunchtime (Easter traffic permitting) and I wanted to run a poll to see what settings are the most popular. Seems this info is spread all over the threads, but not in one clear place and running a poll to cover all the options is not easy
So if its of interest, how about just writing the settings you use most in the format below. I guess any comments as to why you prefer your settings over another would be useful too.

Running mine on Low boost 9 timing 7. Produces 268hp/279lb/ft on Stealth Racing rolling road.

what happens at high boost 9 / timing 9 ? is that optimum performance for short times only ?

High boost 9 is too scary for road use. Timing 9 is for race fuel only. Would guess you'd need at least 100 octane if not higher.

Does it go sequentially i.e. low 1-9 then start on High 1 and work up if your brave enough?

I think low boost 1 and timing 6 (98 ron - 7 is 98ron aggressive) is the factory standard setting (210/199).
So all you are likely to muck about with is the boost, from 1 to 9 if you use optimax as the timing should probably be at 7 all the time.
Am i getting there yet ?

Nope, I think low boost 1, timing 1 is standard.

Hmmm this is getting clearer all the time :rolleyes:
Can we have an official word on this??

I have been told the timing setting are as follows ;
4 = 95ron normal
5 = 95ron aggressive
6 = 98ron normal
7 = 98ron aggressive
8 & 9 = high octane race fuel
so i can only presume until told otherwise that the lower numbers are lower grade fuels ?

Hang on, I'll get me SPS3 paperwork out of the car. From the above I would guess timing 4 is standard. 2 secs.....

Not on Cupra R's it doesn't. My inlet charge stayed below 40 degrees C even after a 100mph thrash and 3 rolling road runs at Stealth. Theres nothing wrong with the standard intercooling on an R.

great, thanks for clearing that up - someone got it wrong :redface:
edit - wait a minute 3-5 = 95 but 5-7 = 98, so if 5 for 95ron or 98 ron or is it for 96.5 ron ?

I test drove the demo ibiza on sunday and this has a forge I/C.
what can I say...........Awesome.........pulls to the redline.
so sure it would make a difference even if only one of the I/Cs on the R where changed.
(Don't turn this into a R's against me thread just cos ive got a
piddly little excuse for a I/C under my bonnet.)

Yes, I had it for a week last year when they were doing the developement work on mine. It was quick even without the better intercooler.
