Take that toyota van away from here.
hehehe
does the Porka now run then or did you push it out onto the road?
I'll post with the roof down later

Arse! Who parked that thing in front of me new van?
Nope, that's a new one - the other is a coupe. I found a need to own 2 Porsches - you know how it is :D
So you need two "My other car is a Porsche" bumper stickers? :p
Looks nice  :)
PS ~ you were "spotted" by Jason 10 days ago see here (http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?threadid=16257)
This thread answers my question
Looks great Fen. There go the days of 40+ mpg.;)
I guess you can always convert it to gas powered!?:D :D
OOOpppssss I'll grab me coat.:hide:
Nice one Fen, I hope this one stays in one piece and doesn't end up in bits on your garage floor :p
It would be nice to have a look if your ever up this way again.
Cheers chaps.
I'll let you know when I'm next doing Yorkshire, Aceman, unless Rochdale next week is any good?
Here's a roof-down piccy (the way it will be any time it isn't raining).
Ooh that looks much better  :)
A bit too far Fen I think, let me know when your nearer.
Bye the way looks nice with the hood down. Plenty of posing to be had then eh.
I haven't driven it with the roof up yet.
I've also already had a 'Nice car Mr.' from a couple of young girls hanging around on a street corner (not those sort of girls!) which happened 0 times in the Beezer.

A fine looking Perambulator to be sure! Nice one:thumbsup: :eyepop:
Incidentally - I was on my way to the Council Tip and popped by SMC being just around the corner and old Yella was sat in the showroom no less (with dirt still on the sills!).
Bonnet looked a bit tidier than when I last saw it too, they did a good job.
Showroom, eh? Did it have a price on the screen?
I got the bonnet fixed a couple of weeks ago to try to sell it privately. Exon did it and it was quite a good job.
The sill always had something baked onto it (wax / grease of some sort) and I could never be bothered to try to clean it off.

No price on the screen, probably best you don't know!

How's the frenzied sanding going?!!!

So when does your Hair Salon open :p ;)
Not bad - it took 17 posts before hairdressing was alluded to ;)
The sanding is going OK, although tomorrow will be busy again. I did go out for a spin while we were waiting for varnish to dry and passed SMC. I see the old Torquemeister has the best spot. It also had its tax disc on the screen which looked odd in the showroom, but still no price. It has scrubbed up OK though.
In the interests of experimentation I drove home from Exeter with the roof up and was pleasantly surprised that it's not really any wind-noisier than the Ibiza was. That's a commendation for the Porker and also a damning of the Beezer - it was always pretty noisy, especially around the passenger door.
Nice wheels Fen
I've thought the Beezer makes a pretty good cruiser. I've been to Scotland and back this weeekend so I've done the M6 from J15 to the end and back again. I do have the old stereo cranked up but on a decent bit of road I find it all quite relaxing.
Incidentally, I seem to have the seat just right now to avoid any back pains. I did 200 miles none stop Saturday morning and felt fine when I got out.
Chris,
I think my body was beaten into submission by the seat - it bothered me less and less the longer I had the car. More realistically it probably softened up a bit over time.
In general it did make a good cruiser though. It was really close to the ideal car for my needs, but unfortunately it was a bit too conventional / sensible / steel-roofed for me. I don't like to cause too much of a stir (like whan I painted the wheels on a black R5GTT flourescent yellow  They were black with a silver rim within a week) but I got fed up of nobody's head turning as I drove by.
I'm going to be in Manc' area again this week. I'll take the strut brace and drop it with you, possibly on my way home on Friday if that's any good?
Unless anyone is ready for another pub meet?

That´s quite curious..if you drove a yellow beezer (or whatever car for that matter) around here, you´d definately get a lot of turning heads.. :D
I guess the british are just a tough crowd..lol
But anyway, a cabrio/roadster will definately always give you more attention as you drive by, like my mate´s TT Quattro Roadster that just makes girls crazy!
