Gearlever knob removal

Is there an easy way to remove the gearlever knob from a Leon Cupra without tearing it to pieces, I've got a nice shiny aluminium Momo to go on, but the standard knob doesn't really want to come off.

Hmm,


What you have to do is grasp it fairly tightly and rub.

Keep this up...even when you go a little red in the face, and eventually it should come off in your hand.

If you rub furiously it should come off more quickly.
