Just a note to say thank you very much to the Revo boys for coming in on a long weekend to install the software for my Cupra R. This really was above and beyond the call of duty and was VERY much appreciated.
On the journey up to Daventry I pushed the car in an effort to fully appreciate the differences I was about to have installed. To be honest I started to think that in stock the car was already pretty much perfect, and that any differences would be minimal. How wrong could I have been?
I chatted with Richard and Geoff and the install was over in a flash (excuse the pun) They even rectified a warning light that had been bugging me for ages. Geoff’s words were ‘I think you’ll like it’…
I DO!
This kind of power is what the car should have had all along. It feels so right, put your foot down and power is delivered simple as that, and boy what power there is to play with too.
The next stage of my journey was from Daventry to Warrington, I had plenty of time so instructed the satnav to stay off the motorway. For the next three hours, courtesy of Revo, I was treated to some of the most thrilling driving I’ve had in years.
My unconscious concern was that with additional power I would sacrifice drivability, that at with every junction or gear change the car would be snatching. In fact the opposite is true, power delivery is super smooth and driven in a docile way you would never know what lurks below the bonnet.
