Hi!

Please tell me if I wanna connect the subwoofer on the serial ibiza cupra radio that means that I have to use the amplifier which is designed to connect the speaker cables from the radio.
That means than that I need two amplifiers one for speakers and one for subwoofer or is there a way to use subwoofer on amplifier and speakers on serial radio.

If I understand right the speaker cables from the radio are connected to the amplifier because of subwoofer and that means that I need one amplifier for the speakers and some kind a connector to split the signal on two amps.

Sorry if it sounds stupid, but I have no such experiences.

Thanks....

Please tell me what you did for connectiong the subwoofer to the serial head unit.

You can use a convertor which will convert the speaker wiers to an RCA type cable. This could still be connected with the speakers as well. Then you can use the RCA cable to an amp.

I've also seen some amps like some sony's and MTX which have direct factory speaker connection. I'm looking at a MTX 4250D for a possible sub install in my Toledo.

Or you could get 1 amp with a high level input (will have low as well but wont be used), but 6 channel, that way you can run 4 of the channels individually to each speaker, then bridge the sub across the last two outputs, i have done this before with excellent results!,

Or if you already have a 4 channel amp, you can put the front and rear left speakers on 1 channel and the front and rear right speakers on the other channel and then bridge your sub across the other 2 channels!, the only bummer with this setup is you cant fade front to rear, but you can control the bass volume by fading which can be usefull sometimes!

It's a shame you're in portugal prc, I have that exact amp for sale for £200 at the moment. It's a cracking amp to use in the new cars because not only does it have speaker level inputs but it switches on automatically when you turn on the radio without having to run a remote wire. Which means you don't have to take the dash apart. The only cable you need to run is a power feed from the batttery and then all the other connections would be in the boot. It saves a lot of messin'
Cracking sub amp at a cracking price... plug, plug....

Now that you mentioned it, I've a question for you:
are there more possiblilities for noise to get into the system using speaker level input??

I'll put my hands up and admit I've never used the high level inputs. As far as I know there is more chance of getting noise but if you use a good amp then I think you'd be ok.
