Decided to get my free Revo trial on my Leon yesterday through ForgeMotorsport in Gloucester.
Thought I'd give my two penceworth to all those members out there who are in two minds.
GET IT! its bloody ace :eyepop:
There's certainly no question that its given a performance boost. Give it 15-20 mins and then it all gets going. mmm nice. I can't tell you how wide my grin was when that first 5th gear shove was, I had to open both side windows to fit it in. In-gear performance is perfect now. Stock Cupra's fast but this is better!
As for second gear .. well hedge here we come.
Trouble is now I new i'd want it but it is expensive. However the nice Forge man said he would give me a discount on any Forge product like a shinny new DV. I did mention SeatCupra.Net but to no avail.
Did have a couple of weird stutters though during the afternoon. 1st Gear off the lights changed into second and bamm no power then off we go - . Also held back a couple of times in fith and sixth. i'm sure they were just teething problems. I did mix some Optimax with unleaded and the Fith/Sixth thing was just after the upgrade.
Now where's that MasterCard.
Cheers,
Scott

Anyone know what sort of figures I'm getting from this upgrade?
I would hope its under seven seconds, as for top speed stock car doesn't get anywhere near its claimed 143 anyway.
Scott
Had mine revo'd couple of weeks ago and yes it is awesome the difference is amazing and tbh a few days later there is even more power felt.
Also had it RR on that day and got 215BHP with 230 ftlbs of torque.
Figures are on the MKiv site.
Not sure on the 0 - 60 time but i would say defo less that 7

Power after gear change is probably related to your stock DV not responding quick enough, reccomended upgrade is Forge 007P.
This power thing is addicitive mate :D
You could always buy the upgrade and get an SPS unit at a later date?

Man at Forge said I could get anything between 212 and 225 bhp, so thats good news kyoshi. Hats off to them for quoting minimum values - you know what your getting.

Good idea Saul.
Do you think the fuel type switch on the SPS2 is worth it over the SPS1?
Cupramax

If you can afford it get the SPS3 as you can set your timing to make full use of Optimax fuel and adjust your boost settings. :D
I have thought about it and for the minimal extra cost i am getting the SPS3. Also getting the new green dynatwist air filter so hopefully i should be around 220+ bhp :D

I suppose what I really want to know is will I get more bhp the higher the SPS?

Yes but I would check what Revo set your car at first. I would guess at low boost 7 timing 5 but I could be wrong. Mines running low boost 9 timing 7 at the moment. Also you must use Optimax if you use the agressive timing settings otherwise you'll end up with holes in your pistons due to detonation.
The SPS3 gives u the ability to tweak the boost and timing as Cupramax says, im running low boost 9 and timing 7, but for trackdays and a fun sunday drive u could wind the boost up to highboost 8-9 and have a rocket for the day :D
Dont forget you also get the anti-theft on the SPS3
which is nice

What worries me is can I break my car and am I seriously going to change the settings that often.
Don't you get Anti-theft on the SPS2?
Thanks for your advice guys.
BTW I've just had a nice race with some beamer and he kept up with me but once I was in 5th and 6th I was creating a gap. I'm sure it was a 325/328i or something - had nice wheels. Bit disappointed he kept up though. Whats the BHP on a 328i?
I had a race with a 328i once (in my leon) and spoke to him after and he couldn't quite keep up.
Maybe you weren't trying hard enough! ;)

must have been an old M3 then :D
I do admit though that I am still getting used to this six speed gearbox idea, I don't find as smooth as my old beefer cupra and I miss my Forge DV.
With this Revo thing aswell 1st and 2nd gear are gone in the blink of an eye!
Dont forget you can get REVO'd in Kent now. May be a bit closer than a trip to Glouster for you.

Has anybody really used this anti-theft feature?
I am seriously thinking of upgrading to SPS2 but I want to know first if this feature actually works!
Can you please give me any feedback on this?

It's only 15miles from my house Lee, I think Kent is slightly further than that. Quite handy really.
BTW, is it your B'day in 4 days time. Me too! 22 again as it happens :D

Yes it works :D
Turn it on, and try and drive your car away with the keys, it wont go no fuel pressure at all
:D

Not necessarily.
SPS1 offers 2 programs (standard + one enhanced)
SPS2 offers 3 programs (standard + two enhanced) + security
SPS3 offers 1 program which can be modified
In other words you can choose which performance program
you want with SPS1 (i.e. Optimax) or if you know someone with a
SPS3 module you can change your enhanced program parameters too.
So the higher the SPS, the more flexibility you get.
