I'm pi$$ed off.

Just picked up my car from them after some service work and the passenger side rear alloy is scuffed. Not impressed. Plus as usual they're denying all knowledge of it. The scratches are brand new (ie clean) but the rest of the wheel is dirty so it must have been done today by them, the body shop, valeters or the wheel changing place they took the car (had an alloy changed under warranty). I know I haven't done it. I need to see the Dealer Principle tomorrow, I will post the outcome.

Their previous history:

Go to pick up my car after checking it the day before and a scratch appears on the wing down to the metal.

Take it in for some work 2 weeks later and I pick the car up with a new scratch on the driver's door and 15 miles on the clock!!!

Conculsion:

Don't take your car to Willoughby Nottingham for any work to be done, unless you don't mind any alterations to the appearence of your car.

A seriously  ....

Damn...I was thinking of going there when my first service was due.

What other dealers are there in the area ?

I guess Derby & Chesterfield are the nearest, Chesterfield easiest for me to get to but would would be good to get some feedback first....

Met with the director, John Allum, who has agreed to swap the wheel over with another one. Both his members of staff are still adament that they didn't do it. All I know is that it wasn't there when I dropped the car off and as its looks like a slow parking scuff it was highly unlikely it was done whilst stationery in the car park.

At least my faith in the dealership is restored. In future I may check the car with the service dept to show no damage on the car when I book.

A good work fella for John for having the time to see me and come to a mutual agreement.

A bit happier ....

My front and rear bumper were scuffed when I picked up my brand new MY03 Cupra, had no problems getting them to respray both front and rear bumpers, due to be done on the 6th May.

My washer bottle leaked last week and I took it in for a quick look, they actulally looked at it straghit away, concluded it needed a new pump and did a simple temporay fix while I waited. I thought this was pretty good seeing as I had just walked in off the street.

My only worry is that the space between walls and car is a wee bit too tight and it is all too easy to hbit something if the compound area at the back of the dealer is full:eek:

I went there after my wing mirror got knocked off in december and i had to take a day off work to go there. anyway, i turned up and after waiting for an hour they mentioned that they didn't have to part in stock!!

Being the dullard that i am, i only got really angry wjen i was driving home instead of going off on one in the garage.

I didn't hear anything from them and went to stoneacre peterborough and had it fitted in march (SEAT parts not in stock again)

THEN....... yesterday willoughby called!! saying they had it in stock now and when would i like to come in a get it fitted!!!

anyway, this time i was able to properly express how inhappy i was with my day off work.
the woman on the end of the phone started getting funny saying that they had to order it specially and that i should have been invoiced for it.

i responded by telling her my daily rate a work and that as they wasted my day off, my personnel department would be more than happy to invoice them for wasting my time.

she went a little quiet.

anyway, i won't be going back there anytime soon (probably blacklisted anyway)

thread from the past !!! ;) last post was June '05 !! :D

will probably be using GK Seat in Derby to get my LCR services soon, despite Willoughby's only being 10mins walk from work. GK is a lot newer premises etc.

Willoughby's is rather 'tight' for space in the car park, and I wouldn't be overly confident leaving my car there without it getting some sort of damage.....

Yeah good points. Gk is a little further afield but if they do a good job I dont mind. SAndicliffe put me off fords, I dont want willoughbys to put me off seats too..:)
