View Full Version : New Ibiza photos from bristol
Apologies on low quality and no internal pictures wasn't allowed inside the display truck which was a bummer. But from what i could see when staff where looking it looks better inside than the mk4. Can't say i was amazed at the way they are trying to show off a new car or should i say not show off. And that display truck doesn't seem to be the greatest built thing ever. Gotta say though in real life it does look very nice.

Thanks for sharing mate really am warming to the new 5 door. Only think I will miss from the MK4 is the distinctive rear lights.
Oh and apparently bristol seat are the only dealers getting it. As they are the UK's "number 1" Seat dealer.

Realy dont like it. The front grill is too big and the rear end is just all wrong imo.
not a fan but im sure it will grow on me as all new cars

nah its not for me ,very dissapointed with the front end and back end lost its sporty looks! i hope the cupra looks like the bocanegra
I think it looks very weak... the Ibiza always looked like an aggresive car and this doesn't.
Maybe with black front light lenses, slightly tinted back lights and three doors though. :)
And those wheels look like a Vauxhall effort.
If I'm honest... the Ibiza in 'Citrus Green' looks very nice indeed!

u say that from the pictures but in person it does look pretty agresive.. and that is only the sport (duno if diesel or petrol) the 1st ones are going to be majorly special it will be the cupra thats worth waiting for :P

i agree i still don't like it but as mork said it's aimed at a mass market so i guess us car nuts will have to wait a while until the cupra comes out which is a shame really.
as said before just compare that to the poverty spec 4 door mk4 against a 3door cupra
no competition the mk5 is way better looking from the get go
Suprised by how small 17's look on it as well.

Looks horrible imo. Going down the lines that ford did with the focus and fiesta and what vauxhall have done with the astra and corsa now. Mk3 will still be the best beeza for many years to come it would seem lol

Dont be silly no one started taking seat serious till the MK4 Facelift and the mk2 leons. :D
Seriously though all new small cars will have similarities due to safety legislations.

i agree.. once theres a design thats gettin 5 star raitings there all going to be very similar
y waste alot of money trying to find something else when its already done?
would make the car very exnsive..
Looks great IMO, especially for a "poverty model". Love the wheels. Cupra is going to be the danglies.

Doubt that is a basic model. It's got fogs and 16"/17" alloy wheels so will be an 'SE' or 'Sport' trim at least.

tbh im waiting to see the cupra model and FR model first but that does look crap.

For all you know the mk5 could win it also though. Really liking the MK5 now. Reckon its a huge step on from the MK4. Now if only the handling is sorted and the cupra doesnt get a crappy 1.4 tsi its a win.
i think it looks crap looks like all the new clios, corsas etc there too big now! They all seem to be like mini-people carriers as opposed to superminis. They ok great on paper and interior quality is better but it just doesn't look like an ibiza.

The Cupra won't likely have the 1.4TfSI that will go in a Sport/FS... The Cupra will get the 1.8TfSI tuned much higher than the 160/170 options Audi currently uses in their A4/A5's... Question is what the FR gets the 1.4TSI 140 or the 1.8TfSI 160??? Oh that's in addition to some 1.6CRDi of course!!!

Agreed.
Will the 'poverty spec' likely have 17" Alloys? Unlikely! How about the projector lamps and light washers? Again unlikely. I think that's more of a mid range model i.e. sport.
I'm not a mk2 Leon/mk3 Tolly or even Altea fan and will be moving away from them when I change my car. The interiors have spoiled it for me imo :( Shame as I love my tolly and would have changed to an Altea if it had a better interior.

Likely be 135hp & in the FR. That way it looks more powerful than the outgoing 1.9TDI 130HP yet less powerful than it's big brother the 140hp 2.0Crdi...

looks ok but nothing special but then again not many new euro boxes do especially 5 door models.
hopefully the 3 door will stand out from the crowd:)
