I understand you like/liked your Cupra... Yet try comparing Apples not Oranges!!! NOT EVERY IBIZA IS A CUPRA!!!!! & You might try waiting 3+ years till the Cupra is available & then feel free to express an educated position...

As of late only the 5 door plain-Jane Ibiza has been seen. The Cupra is a 3 door only afair... The Sport then FS, FR then maybe if we deserve it the Cupra will see light! So chill dude! Just Chill!!!!!!!

Oh, G!zmond0 - I've had 2 MK3 Cupras, one with 225, and an IHI with 340bhp, so compared to your 200bhp, yours is :moon:.

I've got a diesel PD150 Leon now, completely different, hard to compare to be honest.

...and just so I know, do you know what an IHI is? From your post you seem to think your MK4 Diesel Cupra would of had it... :roflmao:

The worst thing about the cupra is the low top speed, i mean come on a VW CADDDY passed me on the highway :cry: It can't get more humilating than that

Have you driven the AMG, because they have more torque than a diesel ibiza and most of it is available from 2000rpm ;)

The amg is great but on highways. It burns gas like a truck aslo it's very heavy.However it's MB

I drove an AMG55 last year expecting it to be a fat pap barge. Granted it doesn't really enjoy quick direction changes but it was one hell of a car, and the supercharger on that big V8 ensures your never short of torque. But comparing a £70k barge with a £10k hatch is not fair comparison.

I owned a Mk4 Ibiza TDi FR, and it had a joint battering ride, rattled like a pilled up pensioner, and I found the brakes were weak. With Revo on it the car was quick and very economical. However it was not beautiful. To be honest I'm not that drawn to the Mk5 either, but the interior looks like a quantum leap forward for SEAT as I can't stand the current dashboard concept. I'd be in a Leon now if the interior was a bit plusher.

Apologies, back on thread, I hope the Ibiza Cupra comes in a K1 style / Boca'whatsit' variant, with 200 odd BHP as standard, some Brembo's or maybe even some SEAT Sport stuff, why has that seemed to vanish off the face of the earth. Are SEAT Sport bits no longer going on road motors.
