Any companies who will touch a remapped Mk2 Leon FR?

Well it seems that if I want to get a remap of my FR TDi I'm going to have to change insurance companies because Elephant (part of Admiral) won't touch the car........ :(

Obviously I could just get it remapped and not inform the insurers but I have a conscience...... :p


Any suggestions on cheap/decent insurers out there who will touch a remapped car?

(The other problem is I need Business Use on top of Social/commuting as I use it for work)

Funny thing is, they will touch a car that's been Chipped but not remapped...... :shrug:

Mate go with greenlight insurance.

Im 24 with one years no claims and ownd the car for a year.
I got quoted £700 for my leon 1.8T cupra with mods.

They also mentioned that if i were to get a remap withing a certain period of starting the policy, it wouldnt change the premium...
Also
If you didnt get one immediately, then they charge a £25 admin fee and thats it. no extra to the premium.

Some of the visual mods do not affect the premium at all.

Not sure about chipped, but doubt it wil have much of a difference

I'm with Adrain Flux, they wanted an extra £70 over the £520 premiium for the remap I quoted Revo advertised figures of 255bhp from the standard 197bhp. I also got cover for my side skirts, spoiler and a performance air filter as well for that price. My policy also includes class 1 business use (i.e. commuting to more than one place of work.) upto 25k miles
