weird clutch problems

OK, I need some help. I have a 2001 1.8 20vt ibiza and I have been having really weird clutch problems. It all started with a 'walking on a stoney beach with bare feet' feeling on the clutch pedal 'garage changes the thrust bearing' then the clutch pedal decides to have a mind of it's own. Imagine the movement is in 5th's first two very light pressure. 2nd two increase in pressure. last 5th high pressure. (normal running) this is what happen occasionally. first two no pressure. 2nd two no pressure. last 5th just enough pressure to change gear. then the pedal stays down. stick my foot underneath pedal lift it back to normal position and voila clutch is ok for another day or so.

any ideas???? it is sending me and my garage nuts (they have replaced master cylinder, slave cyclinder, bled system and changed thrust bearing):confused:

Sounds like the metal bracket that hold's the clutch pedal assy is about to brake, happened to mine last night and i had to be towed home by the AA, about to post about it, as i need to know how many others this has happened too.

I'm just checking the archieves first :(
