Hi guys I just wanted to know if anyone else was 21 or around that age and what they were being quoated from the insurance companies for a MKII Leon FR. Whenever I go on confused .com etc the quotes are so varied!!!
I'm 21 Male, employed, car kept in garage overnight 12,000miles a year, named driver since 17, No accidents....
Cheers guys in advance

The likes of confused.com are only ever good for the middle aged who drive a 1.6 Focus. You have both age and the wrong sort of car to get anything sensible from them. Try Greenlight or Adrian Flux.
All the price comparison sites were quoting me anywhere from £800 to £1,500 for a Mk2 FR TSFI and I'm 30 with 6 years NCB and no points (although I live in a Birmingham postcode). I rang Adrian Flux and got insured (with better terms) for £565.

when I was driving the FR last year I had 5 years NCB and was 28, my quote was 476 from directline. I disagree on price comparison sites, do confused followed by comparethemarket. Covers most insurers, you need to go to directline direct as it were, although they haven't been that competitive this time round. I'm with esure for the upcoming K1.

not bad for 19 mate!
I'm 24, 4 years no claims and have a Leon FR TDI (grp 13). Direct Line gave me the best quote, and I'm paying £450.
I tried Confused.com but all the quotes were £650+.
When I was younger, Tesco were cheap for me and a lot of my mates were with CoOp (www.co-operativeinsurance.co.uk)
Best of luck, hope you find a decent quote
I've just signed up with Adrian Flux and I think they offer fantastic service! I've only got a 1.4 with external mods but my renewal quote with kwik-fit was £669 (without mods), where AF are now doing it for £500 with mods & everything they offer!
Really friendly ppl, i was flirting with Emma for over half an hour!!
And The more you modify your car, it's more likely your quote will be cheaper with them! I'm now looking at getting an FR ;)

Cupra-Clark, was this fully comp or 3rd party? Any other named drivers? Insurance in your name or parent/guardians?
Cheers

Insurance is in my own name fully comp. with no names drivers.
I have been with norwich union for 2 years but i just did an online quote.
I was quite shocked when i got it.... so i did it again and it gave me the same. :funk:.. Happy Days!
Great find Cupra-Clark. When I was 20, I was paying £1,000 to insure a Peugeot 306 Diesel... and that was after a lot of shopping around.

yip. I have always had great insurance from them.
Last year i hade a 2001 FIesta zetec-s Turbo and i was only £830 on that modified.
This year i have a cheap run to save up for my new cupra. Got a Colt 1.6. Considering its jap and body kit and alloys i am only £765 for that.
I am pretty Happy.
What is others paying for the new Cupra? Just out of interest.
Thanks
