... and I can't get enough of it!

Gave the old Credit Card a good pasting last Friday and had one of the best weekends ever - thoroughly recommended!

Second gear - excellent
Fith and Sixth are even better.

Tried my first Optimax run today - awesome
Came in handy down the M4 with this ZS160 'avin a go - he seemed to run out of puff.

Word of warning to any potential buyers, according to the trip computer I averaged only 20.8 to the Gallon this morning - oh dear  . But who cares that was averaging 100-130 mph for 50 miles grinning all the way, head snapping :D .

Couple of minuses though. Throttle seems more sensitive and Turbo is still a bit unpredicatable especially in sixth - you think your at full pelt and then oomph turbo kicks in and bumper of car in front looms rapidly! but then these things aren't really a problem, just have to be more carefull with the right foot round town.

Thanks guys

I think the MY03 change should have had this power output standard.

It would have given the trusty Leon a new lease of life in the ever expanding hot hatch market. Oh, and give the R 240bhp+ standard.

I believe you should already know that installing a new cat-back exhaust will increase the max power by around 15 hp and breath even better at higher r.p.m.

Don't you just love to dissapoint those TypeR drivers ??????????

I'd like to try it one day - quick car though by all accounts.

I had the Milltek cat-back exhaust on my beezer and thought it was fab. It looked good and sounded just right (I think your hp increase is a bit optimistic, more like 3-5 I'd say).

Do they do the Miltek Jet for LEON? Does it fit aperature right?

I'd like to see one installed.

I have seen Miltek cat-backs on Audi A4s and Octavia RS, their gain on the dyno was about 10-15 hp.

Think though, that Miltek is the best solution by far .;)

Out of interest, Grey Fox, were you on the M4 at about 9am on Tuesday, heading west around the Severn crossing?

Only I was there in my kitted up Rover 25 GTi, following a 20VT and, indeed, running out of puff. Easily mistaken for a ZR160 ;)

If it was you, you were the deciding factor on me getting rid of the Rover, trading it in for a Leon Cupra R.... I was thinking that if a 20VT could do that, what would the R do?

Probably not as much more as I'd originally hoped, but what can you do? Now what was all this about getting 260bhp out of the twin intercooled engine?

I was making the same journey this saturday just gone, but this time on my bike. No-one overtook me that time! :)

It most certainly was flippy :D

Nice looking car, def. looks like a ZR at quick glance (we were going too fast to tell!). Whats the spec - 1.4 or 1.8vvc?

It was a bit unfair really, that wasn't a true reflection of 20VT as you've probably noticed by my signature that REVO tuning and 212bhp helps - more like how a 'R' would feel.

Don't be put off though stock car is plenty fast enough.

BTW you've made my day, Artic Silver Leons never get spotted :spin:

Coo, small world!

My Rover's a 1.8VVC - 145bhp.. I bought it to be unique.. Only ever seen 2 other GTi's, and I thought the body kit would differentiate me.

Then MGR brought out the Z cars and I was in the crowd again. Pff.

(shameless plug)

The GTi's for sale if anyone's interested -- £6000 ono.
