How easy\difficult are the brake pads to remove for inspection?
I ask, as the car was left standing for a few weeks on the driveway, and as a consequence, (so I have been told by "MR ATS") the brake discs became rusty with the rain (as they do), and when I used the car again, the braking was a shuddering experience. I could feel the vibration through the wheel and pedals.
After a couple of days of this, I decided to go to the local tyre outlet for a quick inspection of the discs and pads. I was told that the rust had "sandwiched" itself between the pad and disc, and would eventually disappear, leaving smooth braking once again.
However after 2 months of regular driving (1,500 miles or so), the shuddering is still there albeit not as bad.
So have decided to inspect and clean them myself this weekend.
Thanks all!!
