I've just discovered my first paint chip on my car - right in the centre of the bonnet ... :(

It's gone right through to the galvanised layer (zinc i presume) and is quite noticable, even though its only about 2 mm sq..

Can i just use touch up paint on this , or should i use something else first....

FLAPPER: can you tell me the part number for Ebony Black touch up paint ....

cheers

My car too had 2 stone chip marks. Since SEAT in Israel does not stock the touchup paint, I went to a paintshop and asked for some paint to be prepared for me. The guy has prepared 50 Gr. of Yellow S1H paint with his DUPONT computer and did not add the hardening agent so it will remain presh for a longer time. And you know what? He did not charge me for it !!!

I have bought a painters 000 coded brush and fixed the chips just fine!

flapper

whilst you are checking the code for black, could you check flash red for me.

I've just got a touch up pen code LST OU1 P3G from my dealer but it has VW & AUDI all over the packaging - it doesn't mention SEAT anywhere. I have seen on a seperate thread that the colours of VW & SEAT can have the same names but they are actually different

also I'm thinking of getting a black 007 Forge - do you have many left?

thanks very much
