Hi all

Anyone know what the score is with these bits of the black plastic which sit on the struct tops?

Are they suppose to be held in place by friction, or are they just suppose to sit onto of the struct loose? Just that I've popped the bonnet to top up the washer bottle and noticed that both of mine are loose and have a crack running down the 'stalk'.

I've attached piccy of what I mean. Just interested rather than bothered.

They just kind of "grip" onto the threads on the bolt... Not a great method but normally good enough.

if they have a crack down the main tube they probably wont stay put

If your interested you can get them in polished stainless steel from most of the Veedub places like awesome etc. I had some on my old Golf. Should easily be able to find a pair from GTI international for about £15 :)

I think I'll see if its covered under warranty...

- manufacturing defect or poor fitment ;)

Dunno, but they've gotta to be more important than the magical bonnet strip they deleted off the later Leon builds
