View Full Version : Anyone ever done this to an engine?
I was looking through some old photos last night and cam across this little gem.
It's my mate's Nova (This was 5 years ago). This is what you get when you cross a Nova SR with an absolute physco driver!
Here is what the engine looks like round the back!
I was aked to change the engine from a 1.3 sr to a 1.6 gsi engine. This meant changing the engine, gearbox, fuel tank, wiring loom, fuel lines etc.
Pain in the @rse, but by today's standards, a piece of p*ss!
I'd like to see someone swap a Leon engine with an engine winch made of 'string'!
i have managed to make holes in like the back of that one
similar engine too
blew 4 in 2 seasons
1st lasted 2 meetings = approx 15 miles :)
went well though

I'd expect that kind of thing on a competeive event, but on the road?
First time I've been able to see though an engine like that :D
That was the second 1.3 he'd blown. Once the 1.6i was in, there was no probs. Coincedently, my brother also had a nova sr when he was 17 which had to have 3 different engines!
