I am 95% there regarding haveing my Cupra REVO'd, All I need now is someone to convince me it's worth it. As I ahve the annual Tax/Insurance next month, it will be July before I will be in a position to have it done. So, I need to do some homework on it first.

All you members that have had it done, did you have any problems when they loaded the software, or was your car spot on afterwards?, Is the SPS unit easy to use?, and most of all does it and when does it, realy make a differance?

Your advise as usual would be welcomed.......

I've decided to go the Jabba route....car booked in on 9th June :D I wanted the variable boost control and a car specific remap. Just hope my wife doesn't veto it. :o

There's no doubt you will notice the difference, esp in the torque domain.

Thanks for your reply, I was going to go for the SPS2 from Revo, which gives me the option of "standard" "95ron" "98ron" and "anti theft" but for £800 i want to make sure my money is well spent.

yep - that's a good feature list from Revo. The Revo stealth feature also good. My main reasons (much the same as everyone elses) for Jabba are:
- Rave reviews of service and performance,
- mapped specifically for my car and how I want it (eg torque curve),
- boost controller,
- located fairly local to me!
- slightly cheaper than Revo.

Revo would probably be my next choice.

Go for Revo, stuart! Best money I ever spent. No probs installing, Bill (aka ibizacupra) did it in about 15mins.
Car was fine straight after, although power seemed to increase steadily (by quite a lot) over the next few hundred miles, bit like a short run in period...

Difference is very noticable, just ask AndyB after I took him for a spin:) Hence the fact i have just invested in some new stoppers:)

SPS3 is dead easy to use; plug in....wait for beep...remove.

Been to dealers twice since, been plugged into their tester both times and they've not detected it..

I've told this story a few times now, and i've taken people for spins with it off and then on, and they're all going to get it soon or are at least considering it...
FAO - Revo guys - I should be getting a commission!!! How about it??:D

Thank you both for your comments, I think by the end of July mine will be REVO'd.........

I think I am just concerned that I can damage my car...

Thanks

To be honest its a case of what suits you best. Both Revo & Jabba will give you a top product. Revo has the ability to switch between varios programs, Jabba is bespoke to your car and you can have a variable boost controller plus its cheaper.

In nearly 2 years of posting on various VAG bulletin boards I've never heard a bad word said about either of them so its down to convenience and price really.

I had the Revo Demo..so just the software parameter rejig..
still gave a much improved midrange which would suit me fine...definately a lot more fiesty to drive.
Not changing anything mechanical on the car though;)

Thank you all for your comments, I think I will get REVO'd, and go for the SPS2 option.

As Already said the annual tax/insurance due next month, so I think it will be during July I will invest.

Does anyone know of anyone around the York area that will do this, and do any offer a discount to SEATCupra.net members?

I will tell you one thing only, and leave the comments for you ...

My best friend revoed his Leon CupraR and after installing a N75 race and with a 4 bar fuell presure regulator (standard I think) he was racing with TypeRs and S2000s. The guy was laughing endlessly looking at their faces when waiting for them at the next traffic light ...

Buy it.

Sorry mate, I originaly thought you had the Leon CupraR and not the 20VT 180 Hp. I also have the same car (model 2001) and have my Leon Revoed.

My comments : On winter time with about 10 celsius degrees (Greece) You should expect to be faster than the normal Leon CupraR, and expect a performance 0 - 160 Km/h at about 17+ seconds.

I believe that puts the car in a similar performance as the TypeR (only in 0-160, because in 80-110 in 3rd gear we beat it significantly!)
