Having been the the meeting at Croft, I di'nt get my proggrame until late in the day, and failed to get any of the autographs of the Seat drivers, like a fool.
As I am unable to attend Silverstone, is there anyone in a position to get me a programme from there and get the autographs for me? I have no objection to paying for the programme and postage?
Please let me know if anyone can do this for me.If not I am hoping to be at Oulton park, so I may be able to get them then.
Stu

Stu,
If I go, I'd oblige.

Top bloke Spencer...
Very kind offer
I was the guy from here who spoke to you in the marque after qualifying on the saturday...(blue rainjacket and beige T shirt) spoke to you dad as well..I presume it was your dad with you..
Two nice blokes..see if you can lick that Huffy and his overaffected GF for me would you:) whoops Shhhhhhhh
I didn't come to see you during race day as I thought you'd need to focus.
Was there supporting though.
I may or may not be at Silverstone due to holiday commitments but rest assured I'll be willing you on from wherever I am.

Hi,
Not sure if Spencer will read this before the meeting this weekend, but If you do, are you still OK to do this for me? I would appresiate this if you or anyone else could help.
I would like to collect all the autographs, and programmes from all meeting. I am willing to reimberse any costs.
Thanks and living in hope
Stuart
PS Good luck in the meeting.....
Please don't take this the wrong way, I'm not trying to belittle anyone, or start a flame war, but why do you want these autographs? None of the drivers are famous, many of them came from Club motorsport, and only really got a drive 'cause they can afford to pay for it.
Just curious, no offence intended to anyone.
Chris
I think Spencer is off to Silverstone today testing so not sure if he will have seen this i'm afraid.
oh yes and I have a Senna autograph from his F3 days, saving that for my pension!....you never know!
Had to reply to this one, you're right none of us are really famous. Then again Plato wasn't famous when he won the Renault Spider Championship but then be bagged a works Williams Touring Car drive the following year! Everyone starts in club sport I think you'll find 99% of the current F1 crop did, after all you've got to start somewhere.
The other point is most of the top drivers in the Seat Championship have landed sponsorship deals in order to be involved and if you look at the cars you will see a number of household company names on the side. I've not put Shell Oils all over my car so it simply looks the part, in conjuction with my management i've worked hard on and off the circuit for over 2 years to secure that deal! and without sponsorship my racing career would have stalled many years ago.
In part you are right though, in motorsport money talks! Some people simply pay their way through, I get pretty wound up about it as well sometimes. But don't tarnish us all with the same brush.
hi Spencer, get the stickers ok? (left my mobile at home today so not sure if you already texted me).

As I said spencer, my post certainly wasn't intended to suggest anything about anybody. I was just curious. :)
I have immense respect for people that actually work hard to obtain sponsorship off their own back and essentially 'self fund' themselves through a motorsport career. I know exactly how hard this is to do. I've spent the last 4 years racing on the club circuit, completely self funded, because if I want to do it, no-one else is gonna pay. I also feel that I haven't been half as successful as I would have been with a reasonable budget. You simply can't race a car, when you're worrying about the cost of your engine should it lunch itself, and you can't compete fretting about inevitable panel damage when things get close.
The unfortunate thing with Club racing (as you'll know) is that most championships are simply not high profile enough to be worthwhile to a serious sponsor.
Much like you, I also find it incredibly frustrating when I see people that I've beaten on a regular basis pop up in a high profile championship, simply because their family have a lot of money. That's life I suppose.
Unfortunately it seems that a career in motorsport can be bought, and by the time you have payed your way to the top you are probably pretty good anyway, due to all the damn practice you've had!! It's a shame that there's not more focus on raw talent, rather than purse strings.
Anyway, congrats on your sponsorship, and your blossoming career in the Cupra championship, it seems that the hard work is starting to pay off!, I really hope it works out for you, maybe then Stu's autographs might be worth a few quid!!!
Chris
