Has anybody got any information on products available for tuning the V5 engine/Toledo in general.
I know AMD do a chip for the V5 engine giving another 20 bhp, I would also be interested in a sports exhuast and an induction kit, if one exists !
The AMD option you mention is actually a re-map. They don't need to change the original chip - just re-program it.
The V5 uses the same air intake system as a Mk4 V5 golf. So in theory a golf induction kit should be able to be fitted on the Toledo V5. Just depends on the space required etc.. A Mk4 golf K&N will drop straight in - no worries.
As for exhaust - I have had no luck in finding anything specific for the Toledo V5 yet (doesn't mean they don't exist), but if it were me I would seriously consider a custom made system.
Altenatively, if the cat back exhaust is common for the V5 and the 1.8T then that may be worth looking at as the 1.8T Toledo exhaust options as it has been around a while on the continent.
I recommend speaking to a VAG independant specialist like Autotechnik in Southampton. They have the knowledge and the contacts.
Cheers,
hi
i have a filter replacement panel from jetex (you can order direct on the web)they also do induction kits and k&n do one as well.
i had trouble finding a decent exhaust so i got mine custom made from powerflow (£285) for a dual exit system which i rekon is a bargain
you can also get a supercharger for the v5 but it costs 3k :(
What is the Jetx replacement filter like? I have been thinking of getting one for a while now.
Thanks
excellent i like it , not sure how much bhp it gives but it has helped fuel economy (always good idea on a v5) and gives a nice gurgle on full chat ! be careful at service intervals though coz they tried to nick mine and replace with a oe one !.
not sure wether to try the induction kit next rekon that will sound good.
I also have a Jetex filter in my 1.8 20v S, been in for two years now and certainly helps.
Supersprint do an Exhaust for the Toledo, it's the same as the Bora.
Have a look at http://www.supersprint.com/
looks a nice box.
You can also pick up the Dr Schrick cams, mega bucks though.:(

Upsolute and a German company also do a chip or remap if you look up their site - claims another 10% power!
try looking at http://www.hs-elektronik.com/datenblatt-e/seat-toledo-23v5-170ps-225nm.html (http://)

AmD remap the Golf V5 and are in Bicester - you can take the wife shopping in the retail park whilst your car is worked over.

hi, i was looking for an exhaust for my v5 and checked part numbers within the vw group and found the bora exhaust was the same fitment as the v5 so jetex has just released an exhaust for the bora and its top quality stainless. powerflow are good but some poeple have had problems with too little back pressure not good if your car is a turbo.stick with a good quality exhaust, one of the latest induction kits like the viper or green twister(removal or air box) or a decent pannel filter with a modded air box, which has been mentioned in a thread somewhere,an ecu reprogram and if your realy serious then have your heads flowed and ported.finish it of by having it rolling roaded,to check its performing properly.
