I was just thinking -- I wouldn't mind this mod for the track, but wouldn't have an issue disabling it for the road .. would I need to tell my insurance company, bearing in mind, it'd be on my back if I had it active and trashed it *and* insurance found out...

Only on a Leon Cupra R, you get just over 25% power boost, and that stops my current insurance company from insuring me (elephant). Stating it was less than 25% still doubled my premium from about 700 to 1400 quid.

Also, would I have to go for the 'type 3' switch if I wanted to let my girlfriend drive a 100bhp Leon? :) Bearing in mind she struggles with 150bhp in the Rover....

i bet even rover struggled with 150 bhp lol

best bet is to be honest as if they find a way out of not paying THEY WILL

latest trick is - track insurance that allows road travel

means a few OFFICIAL competition parts fitted and proof of track days run - minimum 6 i believe

i know of 2 rally rep boys saving £2000 between em

Elephant suck for mods, change insurance companies!

Liverpool Victoria are very reasonable for mods, they increased my premium by 15% for UNLIMITED engine mods.
