does anyone know roughly how much the new ibiza cupra tdi 150bhp is likely to be? Are we really likely to see it this year or is that only abroad?

There was talk about £15,500 but no one will really know till it comes, if it comes. If i hadnt already done so much to my 130 sport i might have considered one.
thats what i was considering - should i spend loads on upgrades or just wait. I've only just got mine, but i do so many miles that it'll probably be ready for an upgrade in 6 months.
They do look good tho - but not in yellow!

The latest gossip I heard was that the Beezer Cupra R release date had been delayed a few months in order to get the new 2.0 PD TDI 16V lump at a +150bhp version..
I guess we´ll have to wait and see... ;)

Ibiza of the show
Here finally photographs brought back of Geneva. This year, two Ibiza news made their appearance on the squares of the markets of Geneva. Thus one could see the prototype of Cupra R on the Seat stand, and in the accessories suppliers, Lester offered a version to us aesthetically sympathetic nerve!
For the information collected on the Seat Stand: even if they have the set language, we can affirm it, Seat Ibiza TDi Cupra R will make 160 horses and will be put in production at the end of 2003 and will arrive in concession for the sale in February 2004 very precisely. It will be necessary to wait until August 2004 to see unloading the version gasoline...
I had originally heard that the 2.0l 16V tdi would be available in 140 & 175hp. The 140 would be launched on the A3 (available late next month).
if its down to SEAT UK this will probably never see the light of day in RHD..... Cynical or what !!
nope you're probably right.

I like the sound of this 175 bhp unit.. bring on the Cordoba! ;)
I'd be tempted to upgrade to a Cupra TDI just for better brakes...

Wouldn't it just be easier upgrading your brakes? If you want some serious sh@t, upgrade to the ECS stage 2 kit :
12.3" TT rotors w/ Porsche boxster S brembo calipers.
Probably - how much are they?
Not sure Seat Service would provide me new pads though ;)
Check here (it's for the mk4 golf 1.8t, but it's the same setup as you've got):
