mixing speakers

Altea TDI FR. Awful sound. Reading the speaker posts on here I am going to go with the Infinity 652.7i. They are quite expensive (summer holiday coming up!) could I get away with these in the front and something cheaper at the back? What would you suggest. Or just bite the bullet and hide the statements from the 'boss'.

Also does the aux in socket give same sound compared to a dedicated IPOD interface?

aux in will reproduce inferior sound and yes many people will just get more expensive speakers for the front and then either phase out or disconnect the rear ones.

just bear in mind that those infinities work as they should only with a decent amp... if you are using HU's amp, you might be dissapointed... then better go for some JBL GTO series...
