Quick question on a key fob

Hi,
The bottom part of my remote fob only works intermittently. It works for a few hours then stops working and I have to reprogramme it.
Is it possible for me to keep the top part i.e. the blade and transponder and just replace the bottom part? I would be looking to buy the bottom part off ebay and reprogramme it to my car. .I have done a search but the key fob threads seem to mostly be about getting a new blade and reprogramming the transponder which is not what i need. I have attached a picture of my key - which hopefully works!

In theory it should, I've tried the same thing, bought a new blip half off eBay and plugged it into the blade half of my key. The key still works 100% in the locks/ignition, but I haven't been able to reprogram the car to recognise the new "blip". This is mainly because of information overload, I've tried the sequence described in the user manual but it doesn't work, and found that none of the other explanations on the forums work. I'm sure there is a solution, nearly all the explanations of what to do here on the forum vary slightly, and when I first got the car I found one which worked, but stupidly didn't save it.

What method do you use to reprogramme the key to your car, I've got 2 blipper halves of keys off eBay, I'll go try it on them and report back, if you like :)

I used one of the methods off this site. It is the one where you turn the ignition on (lights only) for one second, take the key out, press and hold down either the lock or unlock button and then press the opposite button several times with one-two second intervals between presses. I have found this method works for me nine times out of ten.

due to fault, i had to buy a new bottom part of the key ( as in the picture ) from a seat dealership, cost about £35 i think. They informed me i would have to book the car in to reprogramme the key which would have cost one hours labour! What a load of bollocks as i did it myself as per instructions in the owners manual ( you must have the other 'ordinary' key to do this). It takes about 20 seconds.
