As I didnt go to croft i'm not sure how the village is set out, but I think we should organise a time for everyone to meet as I know Zboyd regretted not saying hello to everyone.

Therefore, maybe one of the guys who went to Croft can decided where to meet (somewhere in the SEAT village - do they do food!?!) or maybe by the cars (which maybe away from the village).

Havent been to a F3 meet for years, back in the late 90's so not sure how busy it will be. dont want to leave it too late and miss any racing, so suggest away.

I'm aiming to be there at about 9.30 - no need to be there earlier - they'll prolly not let you in anyway.

the SEAT village has no food (unless you're a VIP) so it's burger vans

I would imagine it may be best for people to mingle at about 11am, well before the racing starts at about 12 - to give people to get to their favourite corner?

They were very good at Croft and still a phenominally quick chassis despite being designed in the sixties.

At Croft there was a SEAT pit stop..which I assume is going to Silverstone...its an Artic with a hospitality awning on it.
This is where you had to chip in your free drinks vouchers..

Not many people were there when we visited it at croft so maybe that would be a good place to meet at Silverstone as you all get to sit down and have a free drink anyway....and have a group meeting sat comfortably round tables.
You could go there during the dinner break perhaps...

thanks Mr Mayo,
OK, The Caterhams finish around 11.30-11.35, then there is Group C which is repeated later in the day, then lunch break from 12.15 -13.00, so lets set a time of 11.40ish to meet somewhere. How does that sound to everyone.

Near to the drinks place sounds good, but that can be someone elses call

Not my call but sounds OK to me.

11.40am at the SEAT Hospitality Awning then?

don't mean to shoot you down - but it'd make more sense to meet up by the cars (Cupra.net stand)

mainly as there are 2 hospitality areas - one big, one small - you've just suggested we meet at the small one - and we can't get in the big one without VIP tickets.

hell, i'm just speaking my mind. if you wanna meet up somewhere do it, just you might find it's tucked out the way on a good corner as it was @ croft.

Directed at me, Andy or Mark?

I only bumped AndyB's post, it's not my suggestion.

The way things are going is that we'll all be posting on Tuesday about how we all went to Silverstone but went away without meeting other members, as at Croft.

Yes, as you say, it does make sense to meet at the Seatcupra.net stand, but AFAIK this has been the first mention of it.

It's not my call, so could someone from Admin etc take the lead and sort it out, apart from suggesting looking out for a blue WRX.

Personally id be avoiding a Blue WRX myself :)

Totally up to people what they want to do, i'm making an effort to seek people out and say hello, if i can, but im not coralling people together if they want to do their own thing, then im not their mum, and i wont be forcing people to come say hello to me.

11-40am back at the cars, or maybe a little later during the Pit road walkabout time, which is unofficial lunch for the drivers i guess.

Around about 12.10-12.20pm id say is a good time, racing doesn't resume until after 1pm anyway, so anytime in this period, i'll be milling around the SEATCupra.Net area.

Having seen the pit stop areas at Croft, can't vouch for Silverstone as im yet to see it. And the fact were not the only ones there, id agree maybe meeting back at the cars, for burgers and coffee is a better idea, at least we can all chill and kick tyres and have a talk with people.

Z,

It's not a case of coralling peeps, but if we have a definate "Meet and Mingle" time posted on here then there's no reason for posts on Tuesday that someone never met anyone else etc.

It's OK for us who all know eachother, we'll dip eachother out, but IMO, with probably many new members coming, a wee bit of guidance is needed, as akin to walking into a party and not knowing anyone!

A definate meeting time/place, as you say, at the stand at 11.40am IMO will be beneficial to all.

Yep, well like i say i'll be at or around the vacinity of the SEATCupra.Net stand during the lunch hour period from 11.40am to 1pm.

Probably attempting to load up a few choice pics to the site.

If people wish to mingle and meet, then that is the best time.

Im staying overnight on Sunday, so i'll be arriving early with m0rk, so i'll be on the stand when most people arrive, which i wasn't last time, we were almost last to arrive. So i'll be there to greet people as will Lee, and every other member of the SC.Net staff will be present too.

So im sure we'll get to have a natter with people.

Quite a few people bugggered off early at Croft, while i was still wondering around, we didn't leave until gone 6, i guess it'll be the same again this time too.

Anyway to cut a long post short.

DEFINATE TIME PERIOD OF 11.40pm to 1pm BACK AT THE CARS.

I'll be there, can't vouch for everyone else.

OK. thanks Mark, thats why I needed some imput from people who went to Croft

Right deffinate Meet time around 11.40 (thats after the Caterhams) onwards-ish on the SEATCupra.net stand/area. Chances are we will still be drinking and eating and chatting by 12.10 anyway

so decision made!

I'll be there around 9ish, 9.30 latest so I'll be milling about round the village etc anyway prior to the Caterhams

I doubt it Ian, we'd be coming down from Silverstone to go back again, we'll see you at the circuit. From m0rk's were only a 10 minute drive from SIlverstone if that. Getting in early to get our banners up.

Chris has seen enough of me recently anyway :D (I'll have my danish in a doggy bag please) ;)

I've been away all week so probably missed a bit.

Are we all on the stand? I noticed my tickets have an A on the back, does this mean anything?

A is infield parking on the "stand"

Yes Wayne, i think its the West gate you head for, its in one of the Silverstone threads "parking" one i think.
