My R has been having some strange intemittent boost problems

I have had the car back to SEAT MK twice now but everytime i take it back it doesn't play up

Its beginning to irritate me now as on the way to work this morning i was having some fun taking the piss out of a Lexus who had decided to drive right up my chuff, came off the slip road onto the A1, put my foot down and.............. Nothing
No whistle and No boost

This is the third time this has happened now and the twat in the lexus roasted me!!!

As with everytime before, i pulled over to the hard shoulder turned the car off and on again and it was fine!

Everytime the car's been hooked up to 1551 there have been no faults and i'm at a loss to explain what it could be???
anyone any ideas?

SEAT MK don't know and the inference seems to be that it's just in my head:confused:  :(

Also the DBW throttle seems to stick occasionally, so if you rev the car it holds onto revs. Not sure if the problems connected though

Oh well, at least when it works it seems to be getting faster and faster:D

Things to investigate, would be possbly leaking boost pipes, we've known of a few now that have blown their pipes off.

Yours may be just not sealing, and as you put your foot down, the boost is rising to a level where its allowing the pressure to escape via a slight bad seal. usually its the main hose at the front the engine thats the culprit. Just needs reseating and jubilee clip tightening up.

DV failure is also a possible issue.

Other possible causes, that would need the dealer to investigate, would be possibly faulty, sporadic faulting MAF sensor. This is often not possible to diagnose in the work bay, and would require a tech, to come out in the car with the 1551 diagnostic kit attached to the car while its being driven.

Also ive read once or twice of faulty sticking actuators on the turbos, which have been replaced.

Try running with the ESP/TCS turned off and see if you get it then, it could be due to loss of traction so the electronics are cutting the acclerator, doubtful though.

Cheers Z
What i don't understand is why it rectifies itself with stopping and then re-starting the car, which suggests something electrical?

Usual electrical gremlins can be associated with N75 valve, MAF, and mechanically, the DV
