View Full Version : 110s in the garage
Dropped me beezer into richardsons this morning, they are gonna have it for a few days to see if they can see why the turbo doesnt spin up right in the 1st 1000rpm.
Anyway when i gave the keys to the service desk they said " so its in for a mis fire!"..... a misfire!! oh come on... on a diesel?
anyway i told them that an engineer went out in it last week and noticed the surging in the 1st 1000rpm... so he added that to the bottom of the service sheet.
Then he asked me if it was an import.... (guess trying to get out of any warranty work) as i got it from SMC in exeter and it wasnt on their records..... i put them straight anyway.
Anyway, they said they would call today and let me know the progress... wonder if they will... i will keep u all posted.
If its sorted then a few mods will be taking place :D
Im driving me girlfriends dads N reg Vauxhall Astra 1.6 petrol.... what an awful wallowy car... everything seems soo spongy and remote.... the only good thing about driving a soggy car like that though is that you appreciate your beezer when u get it back even more!

As i've mentioned a twat in Merc decided to use me as a stop.
Hence the orange mobeel is in for a new bumper. Me got Nissan Micra for 2 days (no longer I hope) which is really pants.
I don't like others having their hands on my beast, it's a bit like someone borrowing your lass for a few days (maybe not a bad thing - lack of earache is always good)
Funny you should mention Astra's - my lass has an R reg one which some evil scumbag nicked the mirrors off last week, just replced them which weren't fun as they were colour coded.
Anyway, Lets just look forward to having our beloved Seat's back.
Over and out.:(
:D your comment about lending your woman out,... made me grin!... and maybe not a good idea as she might get used to it! someone might put high miles on her!!
I know what u mean i dont like the idea of them having my car for 2 days either, probably be raked about:mad:
We will have to see what the odometer and mpg meter says when i get it back.

good thing about ibiza is fuel computer also has odometer.
I've reset that and left other alone - so i'll know if they've been joyriding
heaven forbid !!
whats the plans for yours?
as for lending our lass out - believe me you couldn't handle her too much grief involved.
I can't - One rule for her (which can change at any given point) and a different rule for everyone else.
So someones already got first call on your woman!!..... funny picture hes got also!! :D
did u see eurotrash a few nights ago.... careful at this rate it will turn into that world record attempt!
Anyway.. if they dont sort it then its onto the For Sale heap for it, but if they do then :-
1) upgrade the speakers all round (some 6x9s in the back shelf)
2) cd changer
3) possible tuing box, but insurance increase and the fact that im supposed to be saving for a house could lead to grief!!
4) maybe re-wheel spacers as at the moment it looks a little silly with the rear wheels quite tight pushed into the arches
then we will see though!

yes i saw it - i would hope she wasn't up for that type of thing.
As for car, I manged to get CD changer fitted when bought.
I upgraded rear speaker to custom fit kenwoods as i think front ones (4 of them) are ok std.
Tuning - got plug-in box, very impressive for £285 with 2 year warranty.(has good stats and local supply - bought box for my 306 from there, sold it for beezer)
That's all i'm doing - I think the outside best left alone, the old wolf in sheeps clothing idea.

What sort of ametuers were the guys...only allowed a minute...Blimey!
40 minutes yep that'd have me warmed up :)
I'd agree with the whole 'wolf in sheeps clothing thing' if it wasn't for Phills sig pic - it's done in Photoshop (apparently) but I'm desparate to lower it like that. Like you say, the wheels are too far in the arches, and it rides too high on the stock sus.
A few inches lower and some 16s would do me proud. Plus getting the skirts/rub-strips/valances sprayed to match the car instead of the black plastic they are at the moment.
My car's black anyway, but it still bugs me... :D
:D :D :D
ive just been laughing to meself for about 2 mins, mark your comments...... piss funny!!
the funny thing was that my girfriend said that yeah she'd be up for it and reckoned she could beat those women!!
perhaps she was joking though!!
ahem... anyway..... orange... how much did your insurance go up after you added your box?
(maybe not a bad thing - lack of earache is always good)
I always work on the prevention rather than cure principal. So, stick something nice & thick into her mouth to stop the nagging.;)
Y'know what I'm saying?:D
ohh dear... if u have a crash on ur way home and u cant get out of the car to take the box off in time then your in big trouble.... no insurance!!
dude, insurance companies do anything to get out of paying out for a claim, all they will have to do is have it checked for a chip by a garage.
(which they must do for most new car crashes now as its so easy to get them chipped and think it can be hidden)
i dont mean to be negative, just dont want u smashing it up and not being insured so u have to drive a 1 litre fiesta around for ages.
who are u with at the moment? and how much do u pay?
im with chruchill who did a really good deal for me, only cost about £400 i think... and i was 22.
