Issam

I was looking for one of these, its very difficult to find these in Britian.
Jabba are doing their own ones inhouse but after 4 weeks I'm still waiting on a reply with price and delivery date
Bet there would be alot of interest if the price was around £200

Well you have to remember £200 is roughly $400US.I can try to do this shipped to the UK but it is going to be tough. The bright side is that its kicked out for more oil capacity.

Does it come with well for oil level sensor?
You got pictures to whet our appetites??

Thats going to be a bit tricky to get in there as the steel pan does not have provision for this.My advice would just be to put a resistor across it to keep the sensor connector "happy".There is still an oil pressure sensor in the oil filter housing so if your oil is low it will still throw up a running light.

I'm not sure about running without an oil level sensor. Is there no way of putting one in??

INA
10-08-2008, 05:38
No way of putting one in as I start with a steel pan, just check your oil....

If you want an aluminum pan with an oil level sensor then it will be extra

Willie
10-08-2008, 10:00
If its no extra hastle a price for the alu one would be good to see

INA
10-08-2008, 17:18
Ok,the issue with the aluminum is that I have to make the trap door hinges from scratch ;) so the cost will be significantly more.

Willie
10-08-2008, 17:35
Okay, don't worry about it, thanks Issam

INA

When the pans are done, the pricing will be very competitive ;)

INA

Getting there!
lets get some preorders going :D

RobDon
22-09-2008, 09:16
A steel one would be safer, as said just check your oil level manually, you're supposed to anyway!

Hopefully these will be good, I've been trying to get a baffled sump for over a year now with no success, UK companies are lame! :D

I do check my oil level often but would like the prior warning of loosing oil pressure before damaging my engine/turbo. I know it might only give you seconds advance warning but it might be enough.
As you said Rob I spoke to Jabba 4-5 months ago and still no advise on when they can build and supply me one.

From what i have seen on many threads, the oil lever sensor is either non existant or useless on the leon.
Many people have run well off the bottom of the dipstick and never had any warning lights. So im not sure the loss of the sensor is any big deal.

INA
23-09-2008, 18:01
Well the good news is that these pans will have the sensor. The bad news is that K03 users will beed to custom make a return oil line or I will have to make one for them.

Perhaps you could bundle the baffled sump with the required oil return line?

I'll pick one of these up this winter in preparation for next years return to trackdays!
