What type of service have you all had from Ameythst?? So far I have to say I think they are poor!!!

Firstly I have now been waiting 7 weeks for a washer bottle for my 03 Leon Cupra, 2 occasions I have driven a 70 mile round trip only to be told the item is not in stock ( even though my car has been booked in ) no-one phones me to tell me not to bother to come!!!! And no offer of fuel as a sorry!!!

Secondly, they refused to pay for my steering/tracking to be done under warrenty (pulling to the left syndrome) Only after I have already thrown away £100 on 3 garages trying to get this issue sorted are they now slightly interested.

Thirdly after taking my car there to get it registered on the SEAT network, they take all my details down and obviously throw themn in the bin as when I phoned up SEAT UK 3 weeks later they have no record of my car being on there database.

I have read many good reports on here about Ameythst but I am starting to find this hard to beleive. And yes when I go there I am the most polite person you could imagine. Perhaps too polite for my own good!!!!

The good reports were down to good people who I believe have since left.

I've heard nothing myself from Amethyst since Darren and Graham left.

It's sad to see that the service has fallen, they were indeed a top notch dealer. Hopefully this is just a one off.

Alas, we have now switched from using Amethyst as our servicing dealer. We were happy with them for 2 years, but speaking from personal experience, customer satisfaction no longer seemed to be their main priority. It's the little things that make the difference when using a dealer...

Now using Holders and very happy :)

I'm still using them as they're close. I haven't been in since I bought the car though (well, since it went back for a couple of faults). I had a 'mare when it went back then, I was stood in +4degC conditions for nearly two hours due to mis-communication. To be fair though they stuck 15quid of Super in it for me to say sorry.

I used to go back frequently for various things and to talk to Flapper and Graham. I'll go back for servicing and that's it. Parts etc can come from elsewhere.

Real shame because it was a great dealer and I've had thought about going back there again and again due to that. I'd have probably bought a Platinum R if things were as they used to be.

As always, it's the staff that make a dealership. I've used Holders for a while now - well, since Amethyst started quoting me silly prices to have work done. Unfortunately now Bryan Bros no longer have a franchise and Seat UK appear to be in no hurry to appoint a new dealer for Bristol, Holders seem to be getting a bit busy. Having to book a service in two weeks in advance? What's that all about???

your pretty local to me judging by your sig,why not give carneilain in shrewsbury a shot, they have a good reputation as a rover dealer and now have a SEAT franchise.their parts dept have been spot on for me.not used them for work on my car so can't comment, can't be any worse than the service you're getting right now.
