At the back of the engine and behind the main lump and down a little is a pipe with two 10mm bolts,one on the right side and one on the left..a friend told me that if i were to tighten one of these (only very slightly) it would raise my p.s.i and give me more power...also if done up too tight the engine would cut out and you would have to adjust accordingly...is he taking the piss and asking for a hiding or is he really being a "friend"?!!
and if it actually did up your boost you'd run lean & knacker up your engine

This would be the wastegate actuator rod I presume.

how much boost you get without any electronic control
Max improvement is 1-2 psi max which is not likely to knacker the engine (even with stock programming) at all. You will however lose some low down torque as turbo will kick in later (screws set to the tightest). Our boost is mailny regulated by N75 and not by the spring in the wastegate.

0.3bar in spike and ~0 bar sustained. That's how the spring holds boost (N75 not bleeding any air).
