This weekend I will be fitting an Impossible performance downpipe, my understanding is that it will go on the golf/leon but from looking underneath it would appear that ther may be some adjustment needed to get it on the ibiza. Can anyone tell me if it will fit or if modification is needed ? I shall endeveour to get it on this weekend along with the abd intake pipe, should compliment the rest of the car nicely (amd re-map, induction kit powerflow exhaust etc.....)

Thanks in advance

I had mine installed and it fits but with some modifications and rewelding.

I started out with a 3 inch ATP http://www.vwturbo.com downpipe and High Flow Cat from a Golf.

Had a profecional welder shorten it, but it fits awesome. One trick is to have the CAT tilted about 15 degrees (clockwise when looking forward) during the welding process so that the 02 Sensor fits, if not, it wont fit.

The improvement in HP was better than installing my K04 or a larger Intercooler so, bang for your buck, this is the best modification you can do to your 1.8T (after a chip of course)

Before the downpipe my K04 was pushing 16psi, now its pushing 19 and 20 psi sometimes. HUGE DIFFERENCE. Plus the car has alot more top end. Id say you gain about 15-25HP in total.

By the way I also removed the center resonator ( cut it out, put in a straight pipe) and the muffler was replaced with a less restrictive, almost freeflowing, one. The car makes just a bit more noice (a nicer grunt). I guess the Turbo and Cat eat up all the noice.

Fame and fortune at last  ! The reason I contacted Lee was because on the back of his car he has a Seat Sport logo, I noticed that and it registered somewhere in the back of my mind then when I looked at peoples cars on this site I saw the same logo on a black Leon and e-mailed the guy who turned out to be Lee and the same car ! Also trax I got p****d off with the traffic and parked up a little way away and walked. Will be looking out for you all !!!!!

Cheers

I have custom made 2.5" downpipe in my beezer and I have to agree it's a great mod. Cost 150£ for me. And my original KKK03
peaks now 1.5bar, settles to 1.1bar after awhile. Still working fine :D
