Just been messing on ebay looking at a few things

http://cgi2.ebay.co.uk/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=wrc-nut

That'd be John of SJB then. I had a hunch last time when he sold a WRC Ibiza bumper & a load of Pipercross ind kits.

To put things in perspective, I read today that Alain Prost's F1 Racing Team went skint owing £20,000,000. (I use him as an example)

This would have taken many other businesses down with it too, businesses that took years of hard work to build-up etc and surely ruined many people's lives by way of resultant loss of homes etc etc.

Alain Prost could probably pay off these debts from his own wealth, but as with thousands of other people, he ran a limited company and can turn a blind eye to his debtors.

The point I'm making is that in general, Prost is regarded as a national sporting hero. Tell that to the people whose lives his company ruined and they may differ in their view of him.

Now, viewing JB's list of items for sale on ebay, the whole lot will probably fetch no more than £500. This does not seem to me to be the action of a man who is flush for a few quid.

There can be 101 reasons how he got into this position, but one thing I'm sure about is that he never got in it deliberatley, what with a wife and young family, and I'm also sure that he never deliberately conned anyone, albeit he has cost them money through not supplying goods etc.

Placed in the same situation, I think most people on here would run and hide, as JB seems to have done. Prost is still out in the limelight, living a life of luxury but no-one points a finger at him.

As I say, I use Prost as an example.

prost isnt out of the limelight. Been to a few GP's this year and did an ice racing championship. He's not very popular in France either

He said out IN the limelight, meaning he don't give a sh1t and is is still flowing about spending cash and getting free-bees.

You both mean the same thing

I thought John disappeared all that time ago due to some not very pleasant family problems? As opposed to just doing a runner with anybody's money?

Totally agree - I used to be best buds with him - then a year ago I hear nothing.

btw - I hope you like the pics - that's my digicam he's using to take the pics with.
