Hi there
I'm looking to possibly buy a second hand Ibiza 1.8T. Is this the one which has the head unit, sort of, combined with the rest of the center console? If i got the car i would like to put the kenwood touchscreen lcd in... how would i go about putting it in the center console?

Your best port of call would be to head over to ICECAVERN (http://www.icecavern.co.uk) check out the galleries. There are a few people (2-3) I know of who have stripped the dash to bits to install the headunit in a standard like location. Others have gone with the airvent mod. Either option is a lot of work.

Unfortunately the headunit and Aircon, controls and display are all the same unit. A huge mistake somewhere in SEAT. It is possible to separate them out. There is a company in Italy or belgium that produces a replacement facia but I can't remember the web site addrees for it I'm afraid. this is the main reason I chose to buy a MK4 ibiza rather than a MK3.
what year were the marks? i think the one i am looking at is a 2001 model. i've only seen it on autotrader, so I'm not sure what the interior is.

BG Car Hifi did it for him... Whether they would do another one ( or how much it would cost ) is something you'd have to ask them...

If you send "mike20VT" a PM he has has a seperate head unit installed out of the way under the steering wheel. This is a better way to go as you dont invalidate any warranties by cutting things up.
No good for installing a screen though.
yeah, thats the thing, i would wanna put in a kenwood lcd.
plus, if i get the car it would be a 2001........ so no warrenty

should be warranty 2 years manufacturer and 1 years dealer. should be good for another year.

My beeza, That iam selling by the way if your interested (sorry for the plug) was registered in sept 2001 and the warranty is valid untill sept 2004.
how much is it up for? Is it standard or modified? milage?
