Anyone heard about unplugging the EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) valve to boost throttle response and performance (by a little bit mind)?

Yes I know about it, but have yet to do it. Have a look at tdiclub.com and if you do it think about fitting a 1.9 non tdi/non-turbo diesel inlet manifold.

Plugged the vacuum hose, didnt notice a huge difference. Noisier turbo whistle and maybe slightly perkier at lower rpm.

Connected back up now.

170 bhp is under mods to come. lol

But I have large injectors and they give at least 20 bhp.

A few 90 mk 3 golfs are running them and they get about 155bhp and loads of torque.

Funny enough they might be for sale as I thinking of changing the car.

They cost me £420 been in for less 1000 miles, but open to offers. So if you intrested drop us a line.

Also if your looking for MAD power a chap near me has done a custom FMIC for the Ibiza at £350. The std intercooler is the ibiza's weekness. It reduced temp on a chiped 1.8 turbo from over 70 degrees C (gauge only went up to 70) to 22 degrees C.
