Well just to give you guys an idea of what we do @ INA Engineering...

prototype projects like this:

I enjoy my job,I basically do product development for automotive applications and design work on the side.Selling automotive parts helps fund this nasty addiction which you guys benefit from in the end.
Enjoy!:cartman:

Tell us About That Engine.....
How'd you make it develop 1000bhp?

It looks amazing. What car are you putting it in?

You selling it as a prototype.....by chance :-P

I take it its in an A4 or Passat or something similar? Longitudinally mounted?

Andy,
I'm Still amazed, although the bloc doesnt physically look that big, i'd think you'd have to be putting it in something alot bigger (like a tank).
It makes sense, as you said, but that amount of power will litterally be Awesome - in the true meaning of the word.
Traction and laying all that power down in a small-ish car like an A4 must be a very complicated issue. I mean what gear will you use to pull away in?...4th :-)

I'd love to see that in the flesh, or even just a spec list. Imagine that's a secret though if its a prototype.

Very, Very Interesting stuff.

It has not made the power as yet.

Ok Just to update this.
The GT42RS + the burns twin scroll T4 manifold are just about ready. We are going to be taking it to the engine dyno and the goal is to break the 1000hp VW/Audi record.
Wish me look lads.
Lots of cool stuff going into this motor...electric water pump & the dry sump will be available soon.

fitted a diesel crank?
you'd be surprised just how common that is in other manufacturers too - Opel did the same for the rally manta 400

gotta say that paperweight looks just right to keep my inbox sturdy right now :drool::drool:

Oettinger 99mm crankshaft...uber rare and forged in a time when you could slam a MKII Jetta into a wall ,put it in reverse and drive home.
This is the first official documentation of stroking a VAG motor to 2.2L's using a pre-1999 block. No one else has taken the time or the energy to do this.

Just because everyone likes teasers....the final piece of the puzzle arrived today courtesy of Tialsport.Tial was kind enough to send me the first batch off the assembly line and over night ship them to INA.

The fun starts tomorrow....:D
