I don't know how some of you lot get such good quotes, I have a mk1 leon fr tdi and am looking around for renewal. It is totally standard at the moment and am getting alright quotes for it, but as soon as i mention any mods the price just jumps!

Am 24, 25 in March, have 6 years ncb, driving for 7, no convictions or claims, parked on drive in a decent postcode, think its a B ranking, and for standard with protected ncb its about £400.

I have tried both Greenlight, and Adrian Flux, and the only mods i have mentioned are a lcr splitter, and fabia rear wiper, with just these the Adrian Flux quote jumped from £420 to about £640, and Greenlights was £670, and thats with just 2 <£20 mods!

Sprry for the essay but has anyone got any ideas, or is it standard for another year???

Cheers

I've often found my quotes are anything up to £200 more on the arosa modified than it would be standard - but for that I have all my mods covered except performance ones. So it actually gets better value for money the more you do

Direct Line, if I recal correctly, don't allow mods for under 25s......

Who else have you tried? My list always includes, Adrian Flux, HIC, Brentacre (who are really good, very friendly) and a few other places I find online each year. Also try Greenflag (if you have lots of power).

Have given HIC a ring and they came up with a brilliant quote, £439 for everything, like for like cover, no increases in the premium for any mods unless i get a remap or full exhaust system, which adds something like £100. Well chuffed with that :) can see its gonna cost me a lot more now i can actually get some things done now :D

Privalige don't do mods for under 25 either, was with them, hence why its been kept standard for the first year.
