i am after a remote start alarm by either clifford or viper, i have reason to beleive they are in fact the same company,

the bit im unsure of is the factory immobiliser, my ibiza is year 03 and im unsure if i need to purchase a immobiliser bypass from clifford for the remote start to actually work

anybody done or know about this ?

DEI Holdings, Inc. is the parent company of vehicle security and remote start systems sold under the Viper®, Clifford®, Python®, Autostart® and other brand names.

Sorry, don't know the answer to your question about immobiliser bypass.

Be aware though, that...

i) It's illegal in the U.K. to leave a vehicle unattended on a public road with the engine running, (fixed penalty fine I think) you'll be OK if it's on your private driveway though.

ii) Your insurers may not be very happy if you do end up bypassing a factory fit engine immobiliser. Best to discuss your intentions with them first rather than find out later that you're driving around uninsured.
