Hi All,

Hello there,

I've got one of those 110 thing's.

I've had many diesels over the years i've been driving and the beezer 110 sport is the best alround car i've had so far.

To be honest there aint too many out there so residuals are quite good.

It's faster than Golf with same engine due to fact it's 1/2 ton lighter and i'm getting a good 50mpg all the time.

They only made them on 51 reg i'm led to believe.

Good luck in finding one.

:p

Thanks for the info.

Without meaning to sound too stupid, what is a Beezer? I have read a few threads on this site and I hear it mentioned quite a bit.

I have seen one 110 Sport for sale but it has 51k on it, it is up for £7995. Dosen't sound too bad but I would like one with slightly less miles on it!

Is there anywhere I can find out the spec for the 110 sport?

Don't know about where to find spec.

This website has some details about technical stuff. (left hand column half way down)

Beezer is Ibiza.

Just had a look on Autotrader site Theres a yellow one with 33k for sale in Durham for £8495 which is still quite steep.

I paid £8995 for mine with 12k on it 8 months ago. A friend of mine has just paid the same for one with 18k no it. You just go to look hard.
Well worth the wait.

I tried to get one about 2 years ago but couldn't. Bought a 306 HDi DTurbo which was nothing but trouble.Just happened to see car for sale one day passing Seat garage at a time when I was having trouble with clutch for second or third time.

Welcome to the site

Excellant choice mate...... check this thread :-

http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=17037

it should tell you loads, as for price that would be about right with that many miles on, but really you should be able to find one with less on it, mines a 51 plate and only has 18k on it.

Have u used the Seat.co.uk web site and done a used car search? then pop into your dealers and see if they can get it up for you, you wouldnt have to buy it if you didnt like it either, they should take it into stock. this is what SMC exeter offered to do for me.

Any more queries just drop a post and me, orange, and JonTDI who all have one will try and help u.

If you want a review of one from diesel car i can bring it in and scan it for you.. let me know.

Note on the specs page for the 110 on seatcupra.net website it says it has drum rear brakes, it doesnt, it has nice discs.

Orange - didnt know u had a 306 before, i used to have a 306 Dturbo but the old XUD one, i really wanted the HDI but couldnt quite afford it, but as you said my 306 was nothing but trouble, cost me about £150 a month to keep it on the road near the end! v v costly cars so it had to go.

Mine was in the garage for warranty items about 10 times in 12 months for little things and TWO clutches.

They have crappy self adjusting cable operated clutches.

IT HAD TO GO.

Would like a copy of that review if you could be so kind.

Alright, i'll bring it in on monday and scan it in.

but for some reason they werent that happy with it, over the 90bhp one... but then the 130 they cannot stop praising.... wierd.

Have a good weekend everyone!

Hi Logic & welcome,
If you've read the link from Stew, then you already know I have a 110 Sport. I'm chuffed to bits with it.
I work with orangesprout & I drove his Ibiza before I got rid of my Corrado G60 & I was very impressed.
There're a very torquey engine (max torque is reached @ 1900rpm) & very economical (50-55mpg).
I spent about 3 weeks looking for one but lucky there was one for sale local to me. Found it on Autotrader website & it advertised on Seat Dealer website.

The forum has loads of info & friendly members.
Good luck!

Hi All,

I just thought that I would let you know that I have just put a deposit on a 110 Sport.

I have found a Ebony black one with imperial red interior, with just over 22K on the clock.

It is being delivered a week on Saturday!

I cant wait. It will be much more fun than driving my Clio! (Well it better be) ;)

a little over £9K, Not too sure if it was a little over priced, but who cares! I wanted the car :) It is coming with Tax, full tank of fuel, and mats if there aren't any and they are dropping it off too me! (3 hour drive!)

I was talking to the dealer in Durham about the yellow one but things started getting a bit complicated and it had 34K on it as well.

I got my one from Bournemouth SEAT.

The yellow one was in a Toyota dealership.

BTW mine is a 02/2002

Does anyone know what the standard features on the 110 Sport are?

Jon TDI

Standard features were (correct me if I'm wrong)
ABS, TCS, A/C (I think)Climate control was an option me thinks
5 Spoke 'Sport' 15" alloys
Front fog lights
Rear boot spoiler
Side 'skirts'
Rear head rests

Probably more but I can't think of any.

Have you bought this car without even seeing it or driving one? Sounds to me like you have! Fair play to you! :)

I bought my TDI 130 without ever having seen one (apart from magazine photos). I read the specs and lots of good reviews, and it was the only car that fitted the bill, so I ordered one from Holland !

Sort of, I have put a refundable deposit on it, the dealer will bring it down to me and I will have a look at it and test drive it. If I like it I will pay him for it and he will drive my car back, but if I don't like it I will get my £100 back and he will be on his way back to Bournemouth in it;)

Yeah looks great, not seen a black one before. I'm thinking of getting one myself after the cordy but cant afford one just yet, they are holding price very well.

If i get one i'll put the Cupra bumper and grille on it and colour code the side/rear skirts, The red interior sounds smart aswell!

I take it they are exactly the same spec as the 1.4 Sport with the only difference being the engine?

sssstew

The black looks very nice... and as the bumpers and side skirts are standard un painted black they dont stand out like on my blue one.

Climate Control was standard on the Sport 110 as well. basically it has everything on.

RadCordy, i think you mean the 1.6 Sport, and yep its exactly the same with the different lump under the bonnet.

RadCordy
10-06-2003, 12:53
Yeah 1.6 sorry, Has exactly the same lump as my Cordie 100bhp.

I would definately get the TDI version, much more modern engine and amazing economy. The 1.6 is about 20 years old, my moms old jetta one looks the same!

I got my Ibiza last night and I am really happy with it! It seems like a great car.

I haven't really had a chance to test it out yet but a trip to Gatwick on Saturday morning @ 4am will be a good chance!

Ohhhhhh goody! Might just hang on 'til the end of July;)

Stew, where did you get this info from?

sssstew
24-06-2003, 13:21
errm i think it was the leon forum, someone had a leon 110 SE and wanted it... only a few days ago also.

i know, i might wait until they have it and see what it can do, otherwise a tuning box for about £285 which gives 140bhp would be cheaper and better. we will see what the boys can do.

As you know Jon i have the power - from the darkside of ginger!!

When I can find my instructions for box which are in storage at moment I will unleash the beast at its full potential just to see what its like.(Setting 5 of 7 to 7 of 7 !!)

Better not rain - spoils my fun.

Curiosity getting better of me now.

YEEE HAAAA.
