Hi all
I have a 04 Cordoba into which Ive fitted a JVC H/U. The connector in the car fits but the 12V switched and permanent are swapped over so now the JVC has no memory when ignition is switched off. Ive tried to get the wires out of the connector with no luck and as the lead is quite short and not easy to work on dont really want to cut them. Anyone know if theres an adaptor available and part number if so?
Thanks for any help.

John

Does your JVC HU not have a cable loom with a white connector on one end that goes into the HU and the other end have a black connector that the two original car connectors fit to? This is what all head units i have bought come with.

If there is i had similar troubles with my clarion HU in my ibiza. Within the cable loom for mine there was specific points where the wires were connected together. All i had to do was swap the yellow and red wires over. ie. you should change it to yellow - red and red - yellow this solved my memory loss problems on my clarion stereo

Thanks for reply, my h/u has no cables with it and is ISO plug so the loom in the car goes straight in. With a lot of swearing and aggro I could probably cut the cable in the car and put in some bullet connectors to the relevant leads but its so short it would be very difficult getting in there with any tools.
I have seen an adaptor on ebay which says JVC to ISO and so will check that out.
