View Full Version : *** JE Pistons & SCAT Forged Connecting rods ***
INA is the leading seller/distributor in JE pistons & SCAT connecting rods for VAG applications.Paul Calado (boostfactory) & Myself started the whole SCAT craze years ago when people were paying 1000+ for forged rods:cartman: .Regardless I am here to help you guys get the best possible service.
I am sure some of you have known this for some time that VAGWORX was our UK distributor for JE Pistons & SCAT connecting rods.It appears though that Mark has thrown in the towel as he does not have enough time for to run Vagworx anymore so please help him out by buying out whats left in his inventory.

They sell IE rods that connect to the OEM pistons.
We are the only company (outside of Arias) that do aftermarket FSI pistons in North America.
Send me a PM with your shipping address.
Shit, i was this was about when i had mine rebuilt, I paid more for the pistons on their own from JBS than what you can get for both here!

Yes but it is a custom order.
PD130?
Yes Pd130. I would like some H-Beam Rods like they are sold from www.rosten-performance.com per example, and i would like to have pistons with only slight reduced CR (maybe minus 0.5) but with thermal barrier coating on top and friction reduce coating on piston skirts.
Any ideas for that?*g*

Sorry to hear that Phil. :(
If the internals are anything like the ALH then they take a 144mm rod (not 159mm rod)
What bore would you like the pistons to be and what is the engine code for your engine?

Bore should stay stock or 1st rebuild oversize. Motorcode is ASZ

Hi !
I'm just wondering, that do you perhaps know if these pistons and rods could fit to 2.0TFSI K04 Cupra engine ? That engine is not the same, than MKV GTI engine. The engine code is same than Audi S3 and it has already little bit stronger rods and pistons if compared to MKV GTI.
Few questions:
- How much would cost that setup, what JC has ordered ?
- How much would cost stronger/better crankshaft bearings for my engine ?
- What kind of coating is that in picture ? Is it NOS proof ?
I dont know yet, if I will ever need stronger rods or pistons with K04, because Cupra has stronger rods already, but I dont know how much stronger than MKV GTI... but IF the situation is going to change and I choose to go to BT and buy maybe in future EuroJet BT kit, so then I definitely need those rod/piston/bearing upgrades ;P
I'm going to use soon 104oct (108oct RON) map with my Cupra, so there will be lots of torque, which could damage my rods...
Thanx in advance for your reply... :)

By the way, gold coat at top and poly moly pc9 would be nice*g*

Get me a picture of the mating flange of the oil filter housing.I have a funny feeling it is the same as the BRE.

Thats the crown coating.

Same with the 225bhp 1.8T.Rods are beefier but they are by no means "bullet proof" if you get what I mean. The rods and pistons would fit in your 2.0 as well.

1. You would need to send me a PM with your shipping address to find out the cost.
Basic Piston is 655US without coatings and the rods are $359US
2. There is no stronger bearing, just coated bearings.034 Anti friction bearings which have been tested to over 700hp on a 1.8T are priced as the following:
* connecting rod - 94.50
* main bearing - 115.50
3. Thats the coating from JE - coated skirt (black) and coated crown (orange brown). It is NOS proof but I do not recommend NOS...its a waste ;)

Eurojet BT kit?
My advice is to wait a couple of weeks. We will have something very nice to show soon enough. Is your Cupra RHD or LHD?

1. Ok... I will send it... but, I just discovered that example. MTM dont use/offer or recommended any rods or pistons upgrades for their 380hp S3 kit, so I think so they thought that S3/Cupra oem rods are enough.
2. Yep... I mean Stronger=coated bearings...
3. Heh .. Good to hear some professional opinion about NOS ;) The NoS is just a thought, but I just have to ask :p
My Cupra is a Left hand driven, if you mean that with LHD ? Yep... I'm waiting custom 104oct (108oct RON) race file from Keith for K04 setup and maybe later if there will be on the market something interesting, I could made upgrade to BT... I'm just not ready to loose yet my good torque on lower rpm area ;) APR bt kit is quite expensive and I'm not an interested of their garrett 2871r BT kit and if I go bigger than K04, its have to be bigger than 2871r ;)
Tell me more about your very nice surprise for customers :D
...and thanx for your reply ;)
Fair enough.I sell a SS manifold from PPT that is V-band with my Tial kits to users over in the Netherlands.I have a couple of FSI users that are very happy with that set up.
