I Installed REVO almost a month ago, and I did notice at first that REVO was running Great, then I bought a SPS3, and I tried to mess with the settings, and it did improve some things, and I was able to determine what was the highest timing setting I could use with my Fuel (timing 5); but a week and a half ago I felt the car slower, not as powerfull with the same settings (Low boost9 timing4) so I decided to put high boost settings(high boost 2) and timing 5, with timing 5 the car pull back after 3,500rpm, so I decided to lower the timing to 4 and it did the same thing, so I had to put timing 3, before, I could use as high as 5; but that wasn't all, at high boost setting 2 when you pushed hard on the car, there was a schreaching sound on the DV.
So today I decided to take the car to the REVO dealer, and my surprise was that the SPS3 didn't work, when I put high boost 2 timing 4, the REVo Flasher told me it was actually high boost 7 timing 9, when I put timing 4 it was timing 7 actually, and so on and so no, so in conclusion my SPS3 did not worked, and it was putting the wrong settings on my car, that's why my car felt strange.
Now that I think about it, when I put the anti-theft on, when i tried to gwt it off, it din't work at the first try, I had to try 2 or 3 times in order to get it off.

Every one, if you are having troubles with the antitheft, or if your car feels strange, go to the dealer and chek your SPS3.

I hope I made my self clear, sorry for my english.
In conclusion the SPS3 was inputting the wrong settings not the ones i was selecting. And the only way to figure it out was going to the REVO dealer and perfomed a "Fetch" of the ECU.

Very interesting, pablovi...

Does anybody know if the current settings can somehow be read with a VAG-COM?

Hi redliner, good to see you in this forum, and good to see you have REVO now!!!

Well, You can check the timing with the Vagcom, but no the REVO settings, , but you can check if the timing you are using is working fine or not. You can check the boost and make a psi graph, that way you can tell if your SPS3 is working fine.

Low boost 0 is .38 bar and low boost 9 1.3 - 1.4 bar
High boost 0 is 1.4 bar and high boost 9 is 1.55 bar.

So if you make a graph of boost with the Vag com you can see where is your boost peak and that will be your setting.

I hope this help.

But if Miguel goes to Monterrey again, ask him to test your SPS3 with the Revo Flasher, that way you can really tell if it's working correctly

From the readings given with this faulty SPS 3 it looks like one of the switches (probably the range one) was fitted 180degrees out as all your supposed settings give exactly the opposite setting. Has someone removed the red part of the dial switch and refitted it in the wrong position?

No, not to my knowledge, at least I didn't do it, the strange part was that it did work at first, I could use timing 5 but the last week and a half that I had it in my possesion, I could only use timing 3, I couldn't use timing 5 anymore, or maybe it really never worked, and I could use timing 5 because the car's ECU have not acostumed to the new programm, who knows. But it's not the exact opposite, at least not all the settings, at timing 3 it was giving me timing 0, and the Low boost settings did worked, at least low boost 9 the one I tested.

What i'm affraid is that something in my ECU has done it, and will do it again, i'm having trouble sometimes getting the antitheft off at the first try, not all times, but sometimes I have to do it 2 times in order to work. I'm going to give it another month and go check that it still working.

Thanks
