Well its time to upgrade the speakers in my Leon FR mk2.. I'm usually a fan of Kenwood kit but some other people have mentioned other speakers so now I'm after recommendations to go for!

I'm after 16.5cm/17cm components (I would prefer to go for components rather than coaxial speakers in the door). My budget it up to around £100 for a pair, am willing to go a bit higher if it will make a decent difference in quality but not too much higher!

So.. Give me you recommendations! :)

Thanks,
Andy

Yeh, a lot of people have been saying Alpine so I think thats my decision made! Am going to go for the SPR-17S components.. :)

Just need to wait a couple weeks as I've spent far too much money this week!

the year of my Leon is irrelevant really - its for my wife's 2005 Golf. my question was will the 04/onwards speaker sizes fit the golf. just the front speakers as i'm not interested in replacing the rear ones.:)
