All help is much appreciated

It's a mod I am trying to stay away from personally... The problem is all to do with input voltages, and the standard stereo...
If you have too high or too low a voltage going from the DVD to the standard HU then it'll sound crap... Plus there's always the potential to screw it all up if you get something wrong...
I'll have a think though and see if there's a better way round it... ;)

there has gotta be something to do?? Would it be worth getting the Testing Meter out on the connections to test voltage??

Any ideas anyone???? Looks like an FM modulator may be the safest and easist course??
edit: what about this:

Well it doesn't give much info on there at all but it sounds like it does what you need...
The only way of knowing is to try it I guess. Pricey at £80...

If it works with the Aura it's fine for the beeza ;)

Only just read this post for the first time. Don't see why it would be a problem to just switch between the autochanger and DVD player audio signals. Without testing the autochanger I have no idea what the signal level is. The volume on the DVD player may need some attentuation (rather than boost) at a guess, but this can be done easily with some pots. The HU display will still look like it was playing the autochanger, but thats no big deal.
Should cost at most £15 to make all in (relays, bit of strip board, switch, box, cabling.....)
Cheers Darryl

just read topic too and thinking same thing!
*runs off to remember wat bits of seat wiring are about and what else can think of*
Hi everyone, look at this site www.k9spud.com. I have one of this on my Leon with aura hu and it works fine. I'm trying to use it as aux-input to connect an old PC running winamp.

I 've got one on my beeza and it works fine. You just plug anything on the input side (with the normal audio voltage ofcourse.....)

so is it the Seat Aux in for Seat sound system that you have got? and it works fine?
On a slightly different note, but kinda the same, is it possible to fit an after marked CD changer to the std headunit in a 2001 beeza, and if so, can this aux in unit be used with the aftermarket changer, for example, alpine?
Thanks

right, yes it works fine get two additional inputs, yes you can change your cd changer with the right adaptor and yes I shouldnt see a problem with using this on it as the cd changer adaptor will be on the cd changer end and the aux out converter is on the stereo end
thanks for the reply, thats good news! ive got a PS2 and a screen to put in my new car when i get it, but was really disapointed to find out there isnt anywhere to put a 1DIN unit, i was planning on getting a new alpine H/U with motorized screen (cva-1004RR) but now i know this, its not SO bad!
Do you know what companies do an adaptor plug for the std cupra headunit so you can use their CD changer with the std headunit....hopefully alpine??
Thanks again

Halfords sell the lead and its about 350 from them, they do also do cd-changer packages with the cable I know sony is one off hand that works but not sure on others. Best bet is goto halfords, pick their brains on info and part numbers and look for it elsewhere! I got a screen and DVd in mine, works a treat
haha, i like it, go to halfords, get all the info then order it mail order, just my style!
Cheers for your help, i cant wait to get it all together!
