View Full Version : This week I have been mostly.....
buying myself a Cordoba 2.0 16v SX
Picked it up last night with the aid of Kev & Lorna.
had an hour & a half's sleep since coming back from Manchester to collect it
One minor fault - the MFA seems to read the average speed rather high. Kept reading into 3 figures last night. I think it must be broken ;)

/me goes into humpy mood as morky mork got a "similar" colour to mine!!;)
kewl... is this one going to get the "lightwieght" treatment? Or is it going to stay a little more luxurious
Mark is that the black one you showed me?
Congratulations mate, I hope this one doesn't become part of your crazy weight stripping plans! ;)
Cool. Are we going to be shown any piccies? If it's black I will be most envious!
Ken was dead handy - I left him & Lorna going over the car while I checked out the paperwork
Will upload some pics shortly
Dead happy with it though.
Mark
Still can't believe you were in the neighbourhood, and didn't even knock me up at 10pm at night to come and talk cars. :p
I need excuses to get miles on my car as well.
I was dissapointed to say the least :p

Be afraid be very afraid....
Nice one Mark :D
Nice car Mark, the best colour for a Cordoba too (in my opinion).
Just seen your email from a week ago, oops, sorry! Reply sent.
Has it got air con? If it has and you're gonna be stripping this one out, I'll buy the air con gubbins off you. I fancy air con in mine.
P.S. Sheerin, your picture was a classic :D
Fully loaded (bar leather seats) so it has air con
I momentarily said to lorna yesterday I may not keep the TT & that got shot down as she thought I'd strip the cordie  can't think why
but I won't be
love the car to bits & just off to Portsmouth as it's cooler in the car than in the house.

mine needs recharged and was thinking of taking it off completely, it may even free up a horsie but would also save on weight. probably over my skill limit tho!!!

Giving it some! Although not quite as much as the yellow/black convoy we had in the early hours of friday morning;)
I think a regular dose of 'pasty attack' should be in order, some good roads round here.
It is one very nice car you've got there, let the fun and games comence:D
ooh, just missed the anniversary by a day :)
i did wonder why this thread had been dug up.happy anniversary
I was thinking "not another one", and then I read the date!

Ah the memories.... has it been that long? :P
yeah. only done 16k. that said it was over 10k by xmas.... so cut down.
called green fag out twice in the year. alternator & exploding spark plug. so all in all not too bad. could do better!
like it still tho - just toying with a vario & chopping my front subframe across :) even better for stealth attacks
I remember when you were looking at 8v's and sla**ing off the 16v for lagging any sort of torque ;)

Not to mention being dead handy for helping out your mates when plannig cycling weekenders, especially if their transport of choice is either:
a) fully caged hatchbacks
b) silly 70's classic coupes
:D ;)
