Hi i have a mk1 leon cupra ( AUQ ) so the intake is on the drivers side ( passenger side everywhere else ) would this fit and give any benifit ( i have an IHI turbo running 320bhp ).
I would need to replace the gasket also but i see they do that too and on a scale of 1 to 10 how difficult would it be to fit and would i need anything else for it to fit and how long would it be for delivery etc.

Yes that would fit but that is a European manifold from the DBC 1.8T early GTI's
wouldnt it be cheaper to source this manifold in the UK?

I know exactly what you mean.I have never been a fan of stuffing products down peoples throats just because I have them.I do not have the part # on hand but any early DBC european GTI Golf will have these manifolds.

good find caveo

interested to see how this thread develops

is it THAT much larger than the standard mani that we have then?

Figured no one in the UK would be interested in this.

This is the original link I did...look @ the results.

essentially what you are doing is creating a "bigger" manifold by having wider runners.Pretty simple what it is doing....similar to sem (except with alot more restriction).

very interested in this, although just forked out £70 to get my current manifold polished! doh!

It isn't a HUGE difference but enough to make it noticeable, I thought the largeport SEM would be way too much for my car but it's not, car pulls hard as hell now.

Wouldn't you need a large-to-smallport transition spacer gasket too?

That was the different gasket thingy

If you have a small port head then you will need a transition phenolic gasket.
